No other conference can say this but the SEC champ has earned the right to go to that playoff. Period. And if the roles were reversed between Bama and LSU you better believe Reece and Greg (who I normally think is good at appearing unbiased) would be singing a different tune.

You can’t compare college to the NFL They 32 teams in the NFL and 14 make the playoffs. In college 4 out of 130 make the playoffs. In the NFL have 8 divisions and the winners of each division make the playoffs the division winner is determined by overall record not. A team can go 6-0 in their division and not make the playoffs a team can go 0-6 and win it.
Davis also used the same argument in the past (bad loss should keep a team out) against Penn State and Ohio St. he also used against Oregon this year not just LSU.

More than that. Winning on the road at Arkansas and A&M, both whom were ranked ahead of LSU before the season started. Probably by Bammer douche himself
