Obviously Rousse's vote had nothing to do with wanting "to remain a member of the SEC." That is typical Finebaum clickbait crap.
Rousse voted "Yes" because it was simply politically expedient. A "No" vote would not have accomplished anything except generation of negative PR, especially as this will ultimately be decided by the courts. Not by a group of university presidents.
