What is better than a crooked number in an inning?

An inning with two straight numbers.

The double suicide squeeze was just the icing on the cake

Announcers and scoreboard were so confused. Took them two more batters to realized two had scored on the squeeze.

Brilliant use of what could have been a disadvantage having to put Stevenson in the middle of your lineup.

What's better than a granny and a 3-run dinger in the same game?

2 grannies, of course. Came so close.

I was gonna say "banging out a couple of their ball girls while at least three dozen balls don't get picked up"?

Don’t get greedy rabbit, your favorite play once a game is still pretty good.

We had a two RBI suicide squeeze, and the elusive 1-2-3 double play in one game!

That game was incredibly unique. I have never heard of anyone getting a 2 RBI bunt, and I would think that the 1-2-3 double play is as rare as a triple play, maybe even more. I have not researched it, but I would guess that the 2 RBI bunt was the first in LSU history. The 1-2-3 double play may have been as well.

Combined with the fact that LSU had a grand slam in the same game, that is surreal.

It doesn't happen much, but SLU actually got one against LSU in an NCAA regional game at the Box in 2017.

Like a 3-2-3 DP, the 1-2-3 DP is rare because it requires the bases to be loaded, but its not tremendously uncommon. Certainly moreso than, say, a 3-4-1 or a 3-6-1 DP which ends with the pitcher covering first. As for triple plays, nothing beats that for rarity with the unassisted triple play being the rarest of all.

I find it awesome that in our big inning on Saturday we batted around once where the only out they got was the one we gave them on purpose.

Then we kept scoring. And they only got the second out because we gave it to them on purpose.

They only earned one out in the inning.

I had to listen to this. Is there a twitter vid or gif to this play?
