I agree. Jennings has all the tools, excellent arm strength, accuracy, intelligence and good running ability. Can make all the throws. But his best trait is his natural leadership ability. I think tha'ts what separates him from Harris at this time but Harris has better all arm strength and running ability. Just has more upside. Couldn't go wrong with either of them this season if we get good cooperation from Cam this season.

Where has it EVER been evident that he has "all the tools?" If he has an "excellent arm," then Harris must be able to chuck it into outer space. He has to "float" every pass beyond 15 yards because he can't throw it on a rope. I'm not sayimg he can't help us win but where does this argument about arm strength even come from? A nice deep ball does not equal a strong arm. Watch Mett's back shoulder throws. You really think AJ's arm strength is good enough to do that based on anything you've seen?

I don't think no one is expecting either of the quarterbacks to be world beaters but what the hell is wrong with expecting improvement? You make it seem like young, inexperienced players improving from season to season is a foreign concept.
With that line of thinking there's no way Mett should have made the jump that he did from 2012 to 2013. frick it, let's just direct snap it to Fournette every play.

He doesn't have Mettenberger or Jamarcus Russel arm strength but he does have average to slightly above average college QB arm strength. Plenty enough to where arm strength really isn't an issue. Strong enough to make all the throws. Harris has as strong a arm as any QB out there. However, plenty of great QB's don't have super strong arms. Drew Brees comes to mind.

You said "excellent" arm strength. Now you say "average to slightly above average." More on the average side, but THAT I can agree with.

You do realize that the biggest reason for Mett's improvement from 2012-13 is that he went from Stud to Cam. Our two guys have been under Cam for their entire time here, so don't expect that kind of improvement.

Mett was a junior in 2012 and had a pretty rough go. AJ had a rough year, but he was in his second year. I would be surprised if he didn't show at least some improvement. Given the kid's character and reputation I expect he will put in the work to getter better this offseason. I hope he has a great 2015.

Nevermind the fact that Mett had a year experience under his belt & two years on campus going into 2013.

Everyone keeps forgetting that the biggest reason Mett improved dramatically from 2012 to 2013 was that he went from Stud to Cam at OC.
Jennings has already been in Cam's system for two full years. We're just not going to see dramatic improvement from him. Some improvement, maybe, but not a dramatic improvement like we saw from Mett

Some people simply have too much idle time...I bet if they spent as much time focused on improving their own life, their lives would actually improve...why not wait to see the facts, rather than negative speculation...of course, we all ready know the answer....LOSER!!!!!!!

Of course it's just my opinion. I mean, this is a message board where fans state their (gasp) opinions.
But if you believe, after watching Jennings for quite some time now, that he's going to be able to improve into a good SEC-caliber QB between now and the fall, then I just don't know what to say to you.
