We have trouble getting consistent pressure when rushing 4 and blitzing 1

Now way we get to Tua onky rushing 3. That plays right into their hands. If he has all day to throw, he will kill us.

If he cannot run, that is a good plan.

It's just from watching him. Tua is a much better QB than Fromm. He's more athletic, has a better arm, and has an insanely quick release with deadly accuracy.

You wanna 1 week ban bet me on who's better after each plays a season in the NFL?
Do it.

Crazy to think that you can have 2 juniors declare early for the draft and whiff on your biggest recruiting target and you still have the best secondary in the country.

I think there's a 3 letter term for this.

I agree with this, I just hope we don't rush 3 very often.

I think the point is that you give them the same look you've been blitzing from, so the QB thinks he knows where the hot read is, but when he throws it there's a LB (or DE )there to deflect/intercept.

We've done better since then with sending 3 and 4. Do you watch the games?
Yes, I watch the games

Vs the only offense worth a shite since then, we allowed for some wide open receivers when we sent a 3 man front

We aren’t going to send many 3 man fronts against Bama

When we rush 3, at least 1 will be a s or cb and poss 1 rush lb, with a dl or 2 dropping into coverage.

Wont be shocked to see 2 nt w/ a couple dbs come, at times.

We will rarely come w 3 dl. Rarely. They wont know whos coming, from where or when.

Aranda brings his entire blitz pkg. The whole fkg burrito.

No. Holds. Barred.

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

yeah, aranda is gonna earn his money this week... gotta be creative and gotta take risk in this one... I agree with other poster... LSU is going to drop 7-8 guys... the problem is how do you stop the run doing that? gives me a headache just thinking about it...

Franks also only completed 44% of his passes. Pressure is relative sometimes if coverage is tight.

Our priority is to immediately get into Tua's head, then live there.

All they know is scoring, early and often.

Take away the intermed-deep explosive pass plays, while relentlessly pressuring Tua.

We'll adjust to the occasional set of run plays like we did, v UGa.

They will live and die with the "big play"; receivers running free, Tua w/time.

Shut. It. Down.

Make Tua beat you under extreme duress, both in terms of coverage and pressure.

F BAMA!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!

If we drop 8 Bama will hang 50 on us. Need to put pressure on Tus abs lots of it a 3 man rush will not do it

LSU's secondary is elite. The D-Line is talented, but not now at the level of the secondary. Aranda apparently is working on the 3-man rush this week. LSU has had far more success covering WR's than sacking QB's. If Aranda wants to rush 3, then he has probably put more thought and expertise into the issue than the entire Rant combined.

Rush 5 drop 4, spy Tua run with 2. Yeah, risk long ball for some solid hits on Tua.

Did Fehoko play in that game? I can’t even remember.

Also, how was our pressure in our two most recent games at home versus Georgia and St?

And don't forget that possibly the best player (Chaisson) is hurt.

IF LSU opts to do this, and I happen to think it would not be a bad concept to attempt, look for Bama to go more run heavy.

What this COULD accomplish, though, is what I posted about a few days ago. You try and eliminate the big play, and make Bama matriculate down the field. Make Bama run more plays, which increases chances for a miscue, turnover, or penalty. It also shortens the game.

Worth noting - all 5 of our top receivers are in the top 51 in yards per reception. Basically, 10% of the top 50 in the nation in ypr wears a Bama jersey. Bama has thrived on big plays and long TD passes.
