Besides the two splash hires at A&M? The year he got to UW they went 0-12. The year he left they made the playoffs. We he arrived UW's athletic department was operating at a loss. By the time he left they were turning a profit. He hired Chris Petersen from Boise and pushed through a complete renovation of the football stadium. Woodward put UW football on the map. That still bites me in the arse. Canada was innovative and implemented a few plays against bama that LSU scored on and could have scored more if Etling could have connected with his receivers. Now that LSU has a much better QB all they need is someone just as innovative and creative. I know there were things O didn't like, but I believe he could have worked some things out with Canada and it could have worked. Now with Brady, who knows. I mean he could be a great OC and he could fall on his face. we won't know for certain until he gets the job. Maybe with a season as an apprentice will help with the learning curve as far as him being a full-time OC. I know one thing, O is a Tiger fan like the rest of us and he wants LSU to win. I don't think he lets his ego get in the way of LSU being successful. Not like that other HC did. But I see what you mean. I don't know if anybody can feel comfortable with hiring Brady as OC, but I feel O will do what is best for LSU to win.
