Lot to choose from.

- 1997 CWS comeback
- 2008 CWS comeback
- 2009 super regionals
- 2016 regionals

Couple of least favorites to choose from too.

- 1995 regional loss
- 2002 super regionals embarrassment
- 2005 regionals (first time ever not making it to the supers)

Too bad Rice has become irrelevant. I used to love rubbing it in my cousin's face every time we beat them. Now he has become a full time LSU fan so it's no fun any more

It really is a nostalgia bummer.

There was a time towards the end where it was kind of lame that we got them in back-to-back regionals, but I think when you talk about LSU's journey in becoming a baseball power, Rice is the first opponent you think of.

I believe they are the only team that we've faced in all three postseason rounds and we've played them multiple times in all three rounds.

Ironically, Rice's first ever postseason appearance was at Alex Box in 1995 and their last appearance was at Alex Box in 2017.

the Larson homerun off that first round pick Anderson
without that LSU doesn't win the title in 97

worst moment is when Rice came into LSU in 95 and blasted some moonshots to eliminate LSU, the beginning of the Rice juggernaut

I'd argue 05 is a worse regional loss than 95.

We won the title a year after 95. 05 was the culmination of all of Smoke's bullshite and was the true end to LSU's era of dominance.

2008 CWS comeback. Was at my grandparents house watching the game on their TV in their room, cause it was rude to watch tv in front of guests lol. But their house was raised off of the ground. Well when Blake Dean hit that ball off the wall, I started jumping up and down, and running all over the room screaming. They came running in thinking something bad had happened only to find me jumping in joy when the Tigers won.

That 2016 regional, in that final game was awesome too. The stadium was not packed, because it was at like 11am on a Tuesday if I remember correctly, and I swear, that’s one of the loudest and rowdiest games I had been to at the New Box. Especially after Deichmanns blast to center.

Same thing with Tulane

I hate the greenie weenies but the games between them and LSU were always a blast, usually with something on the line, even if it was just bragging rights

Found some highlights from that one on Youtube.

It's crazy to hear Chris Blair on the call. I still feel like he is "new".

When my brother and me Tiger baited the Rice postgame huddle out in left field so hard and so long after the 2016 1-0 regional game in a nearly empty Alex Box that Wayne Graham stopped talking and stared at us for 30 seconds before going back to talking to the team.
