Maybe the SEC Championship game win over Tennessee in 2001. I think that's when the program turned the corner IMHO.

All three national championship games. If I had to pick one it would be the first one.

Excluding the three National Championship games ('03, '07, '19), my favorite Home Win (28-21) was 1997 vs. Fla, and my favorite Road Win (9-6) was 2011 vs. Ala., 2003 at Ole Miss a close second!

Awesome games!!!

Maybe some of the old fellers will understand and appreciate this one. LSU 61 Ole Miss 17 in 1970. We lost to the Webels in 1968 and 1969 mainly because of Archie Manning. Our only loss in 1969 was to OM. Arch played the 1970 game with a cast on his non throwing arm but the Tigers showed no mercy and sacked him several times with one of those being a safety at the hands of Ronnie Estay.

Agreed. We had corner EZ, lowers. I can honestly say it was not of this world. It was genuinely surreal. I kept telling myself, “This can’t really be happening”.

I was only 8 years old. It was the game that got me hooked.

2006 LSU vs Tennessee at Neyland Stadium when JaMarcus threw a TD pass to Doucet and the crowd went silent. It was amazing to watch that drive.

LSU vs Fla St in 82. I was 8 and the oranges were flying. Fog rolled in too. Loved every minute of it.

Was at Tennessee SEC championship where we kept them out of the national championship (as I recall). Krewe of Ragou had a great tailgate going before and when this older Tenn couple walked over us on an overpass and glanced down the entire tailgate of ~1,000 Tigerbaited them mercilessly. It was f-ing funny. They may have soiled themselves a little

Have to tack on that the Peach Bowl blowing out Miami with Hester getting 12 yards a carry in the 2nd half and then getting their national championship coach fired afterwards was pretty sweet. Might argue it was a meaningless bowl but had some buzz with two top-10 teams playing, packed house, etc. fun to be at because my Miami buddy was miserable and wanted to leave in 3rd quarter ha ha

Yes, I was there. I went to most all the others. This one in ‘97 was way way over the top. I remember sitting in Coffee Call that morning reading an article in the Advocate that listed about 5 things that had to happen for us to have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning. I could hardly speak for a week.

Florida game in 97. First game I went to. Reason I’m an LSU fan! I remember feeling the roar of the crowd in my chest. Wild stuff!
