Billy Cannon Jr. First round pick and all American.
Not an All American in college FB.
His first round pick is odd. His senior year he was seventh on the team as outside LB, the position he was drafted for.

Hard to fault any stud football players in the 1990s.
I fault them. The way I look at it is they should have gone to LSU to help turn the program around. They are the reason the program sucked.

My favorite Louisiana player that spurned LSU was Brock Berlin. Kinda glad he did tho. He was all world at Evangel High school and mediocre in college and pros.

If you ain’t a Tiger, well then you’re just Tiger bait!
Sat next to Archie at LSU vs UK game in TS. Archie said Eli is making the official visit, because we live in the state, but agreed w/ me when I said that He and Olivia would never let their son attend LSU.
Marshall Faulk came immediately to mind, but we didn’t recruit him as a RB. Nuff said.
This question is telling of one’s age on this board. Here’s mine. Joe Ferguson, went to AK and lit it up in the passing game w/ his High School WR.

No one. If a Louisiana player was recruited by LSU and goes elsewhere, they can stay there!

Johnny Hector. Played for New Iberia. 1979 graduate, went to Texas A&M, reportedly in a new Z28 or Trans Am. Same was said about Billy Cannon Jr the next year. Respectable 10 year NFL career at running back with the Jets.

Kim Mulkey. Did you know her son played baseball for LSU?

Benoit Benjamin-7'0 High School Basketball All American that went to CREIGHTON over LSU. The youngsters on this board will not recognize that name, lol. With him, LSU is a Final Four contender.
Pretty sure LSU was a contender without him ... that was the golden age of LSU basketball.
