Fargas gets paid more than some pretty good non power 5 coaches on the men’s side. Wonder why more schools do not go after these guys? I hope tenn hires Fargas, but it is a bit of an eyeopener when literally a top two program is even considering her as an option.

For the love of God - LET HER GO!
Hire KIM MULKEY.
This is just my opinion and nothing more:
I think Baylor has a new administration and she is
not liking what she sees so far. Now is the time for LSU
to bring home girl back to Louisiana! Blow away whatever Baylor
is paying her and I think she can be landed. Now is the time.

Alleva will hire her as the head men's coach if he has to replace will wade.

Fargas needs to go . I can assure you mulkey ain't coming here .

LSU ain’t paying Kim Mulkey money for WBB

Better yet, hire her as AD.

Zero ties huh? How could you not have seen her in the stands at LSU baseball games where her SON played! They showed her on TV every 15 seconds.

Please take her Tennessee.

Bingo. It’s all about family at this stage for her. Money is not an issue.

If so it would be a great time for LSU to make a big splash and pursue Kim Mulkey who just might be ready to return home. Before all the she is not leaving Baylor naysayers come out I am just saying they need to pursue her and if she turns it down so be it, next big target.
It's clear that many of you don't follow women's basketball.
This same topic comes up time and time again. Trust me, Mulkey is not coming to LSU. She's a LaTech grad and most of them HATE LSU. Why would she come here to rebuild a program she has no ties to, as opposed to returning her alma mater to glory? Additionally, with incentives, she makes almost $2 million/year. Folks are complaining that Nikki makes too much at $700K / year. What would they do if we had to up Mulkey's Baylor salary to get her here in Baton Rouge?
She ain't comin' to LSU. I think we'd have a better chance to go after Jeff Waltz than Kim Mulkey, actually......................and I don't think he'd leave Louisville either.

Most of the people in this thread probably have no idea who Jeff Walz is. She's the name they know so people keep bringing her up.

Let’s roll the dice like State did with an elite assistant and go from there. Pay him or her when the program is actually back to its old norm

She has completely changed as a person since the birth of her grandson this year. She has now become more family oriented. That said I don't think she would leave Baylor ever. She makes crazy good money, has a stacked team with elite talent coming in, and their court is always sold out.
LSU would have to write a gigantic check to even have a chance at her and even with that I don't see it happening.
LSU's best bet would be Walz, the Oregon/Oregon St coach, or go after after a big assistant coach with recruiting ties.

As an assistant?

As someone living in Oregon, I personally think it would be very difficult to poach the UO coach. Oregon has committed an insane amount of resources to all their coaches.
Now getting top talent to Corvallis is like recruiting starkville. I think we could certainly poach their coach

Well, they ARE a women’s basketball school.

Walz has got everything he needs at Louisville now that they're in a P5. Graves has never coached west of New Mexico and Rueck has never even worked as far east as Portland. They're both WC lifers.

Except UO is in Eugene, not Corvallis...

Doesn't mean you don't try
I only bring up the Oregon St coach because he does not make very much money and its tough bringing recruits to Corvallis, which he has done a tremendous job.
Waltz isn't happening either but he is far more reasonable than getting Mulkey.
LSU likely has to get a top coach from a mid major or hire a big assistant coach.
