WOW. Its sad. the seats that were empy were the lower bowl between the 35's. Thats the people that just want to be seen at an LSU football and could give two shits about the game. Shove your money up your arse

This is just as bad, IMO.
Wasn't it like 50 degrees?
That isn't that cold.
Get a better coat.
OH MY GOD...

I left with five minutes left in regulation only because my son had enough with the cold air (he has bronchitis and wanted to go to game). But FWIW, at the Tulane game, I left the game in the third quarter with another sick child (bad tiger dog) and saw Billy Cannon getting into his vehicle.

this! everyone is tired of these down to the wire games. This game should have been put away along time before it was

I just watched the ESPN broadcast and they really overdid the people leaving early thing. They made it sound like 30,000 people left when it was actually a few pockets here and there on the sidelines. The announcer kept saying stuff like "those that remain...".
An Arkansas fan sitting in the east upper deck commented to us about the empty seats up there around him. I told him those seats are where the visiting fans sit - so those were a reflection of the Arky fan base not traveling well because Florida, bama, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss all fill up those seats when they come.

Im glad those 12,000 or however many people it was left. They are the same people that sit down and don't make a peep all game. That place was rockin last night with 80K. I had a blast.

I didn't notice a whole lot of folks leaving.

my gf bartends at a nice restaurant. She thought she was going to get cut early, but got slammed by the "defecters". Makes no sense to leave a game that early and go watch the end at a restaurant bar. One girl (who was decked out in P&G) was staring at her wanting a drink right before the game winning kick. She hates waiting on those people.
baffles my mind.
we have some of the worse fans in football.
FWI - i stayed through the entire game.

For all you "Back in the great bygone days of old" folks, I can remember when Tiger Fans didn't depend on the validation of other fans or, heaven forbid, TV announcers, to define their experience of enjoying an LSU game.
I had a hell of a time Saturday night and really didn't bother to notice how many folks left.
When did so many people become such namby pamby busybodies?

Our fans are getting where they are making those Ole Miss "Hotty Toddy" fans look like the Marines storming Iwo Jima.

You, sir, are a scrub.
And, why would any of you bash the Saints? People have been there even when they had to put bags on their heads. Everyone knows the Saints have one of the most depressed, devoted fanbases out there.

I was in the student section and was surprised by how many people were still around for the end. Crowd was loud and the student section was especially roudy. Didn't even notice a bunch of people had left. Why do we have to have a thread like this everytime we play a home game?

I had Family come down for their first trip to Tiger Stadium. They seemed to have a good time, but were suprised at how Quiet and Tame the fans tailgating and in the Stadium were. "Bout time this place got loud" he said with 2min left in the 4th Quarter. we were in 415.
We stayed till the END glad we did because that was the game!!!
Glad all the POSI-TIGERS are getting filtered out..makes parking and getting extra tickets alot easier!!!!

was there. I stayed the whole time. I got a text saying espn was calling us out. I honestly think that a majority were warming up in the tunnels because the sidelines at that point looked empty but by the end were somewhat filled up again. Im sure some people left but some were just warming up.
Yeah, that may be true ... it did sort of look like the east stands emptied, then filled back up. But I DID see people streaming out of the stadium, everywhere, with about 3 minutes left, after LSU kicked the FG, before Ark. scored. Might've been nice to have them stay in their seats and make some noise during Ark's last drive. BTW, I do certainly understand we live in a free country and people can do whatever the hell they want ... and, I'm as big a Tiger fan and alum as the next person ... but I'm going to toss my lunch the next time I hear some tripe about how loud, intimidating, etc. Tiger Stadium is, when people leave the game early so much.

leaving the last game of the year in the third quarter.
Why the hell do you even show up in the first place ? The East side stands bailed early. "Cheap seats" stayed until the end.
With that said ,I was surprised how full it was at the start.I was expecting around 80 and it was more like 90,000.

One more thing about Tiger Stadium crowds- why does it get pointed out by national tv announcers and opposing fans? People leave early everywhere. I've seen it at EVERY SEC stadium I've been to. It was amusing being criticized by Arky fans when a sellout in their stadium doesn't equal the number of people who were in their seats in TS during the 3rd qtr on Saturday night.
I think it gets noticed because of the reputation Tiger Stadium and LSU fans have. Non-LSU people come to Tiger Stadium expecting a big time game atmosphere for every game - and it just doesn't happen that way.
Personally I was very impressed with LSU fans on Saturday night considering everything that went on this season.
Also, empty seats on the sideline in TS really stand out (bright yellow backs).

Its the soft, 50 plus Baton Rouge area people who leave.I drive 600 miles round trip every game, but when those frigid 52 degree nights hit TS,I guess home looks iviting. Pitiful.
