They just did, man. What are you not understanding? Vegas is in the business of making money. They never over leverage if they can help which is what LSU is simple because of the brand and last year’s win. This isn’t a ranking. They can’t bottom out the odds or people will continue to bet on them taking a flyer. That is zero benefit to Vegas who knows they already have money in hand.

No, the handicappers know LSU fans will still bet on them and it’s free money for FanDuel

The people who will bet on lsu at +2000 will bet on them for anything. You put lsu at +10000 then you start inviting people looking to take that risk and Vegas paying out a shite ton if it actually happens. Too much money is already on LSU and it’s too easy of a payday to risk being even more over leveraged.

College Baseball odds rarely change throughout the season. They're not going to let you get good odds on LSU regardless of record because of the name.

You realize the goal for handicappers is to get even betting. The handicappers know LSU is a household it name and people will bet on the team regardless of how its doing. Has nothing to do with how good or how bad the team is performing.

LSU NOT winning the championship is at 98% on Kalshi, believe me I already looked weeks ago wanting to do the same

I wanted to fade the Steelers for AFCN champs but it's at 88%.

This is exactly what happens. I live in Vegas and for big games and futures the sports books tell the local paper and sports radio who they have the biggest handle on. In 2018 when the Knights made the Stanley Cup Final as an expansion team, the local sports books stood to get hammered if the Knights would have won it all. Like worst one day sports related losses in their history type bad. Most locals threw a flyer on them at 50/1.

Fan duel also gave A&M plus money on run line 1.5 all weekend. How’d that workout for them???

If more money was bet on LSU then it worked out pretty good for them.

Do you actually think there's someone that's monitoring all college baseball teams and adjusting odds in real time? There's a computer that monitors how much is bet on each team and the payout if each one wins. If a lot of money is put on LSU preseason then they don't need to entice more money midway through the season. If GA Tech didn't have much money on them preseason and then it starts pouring in, the computer is going to adjust their odds accordingly.

The highest factor for betting odds is risk management for the book. It takes everything into consideration but spreading out the money so the book isn’t exposed is the main factor. That’s why the lines move for games, it isn’t because they think the other team got better over night it’s because they want you to put money on that team so there isn’t $20 million on one team and $100k on the other
