Here is the problem with people continually making this horrible analogy, Dabo never proved to be an epic failure prior to his hiring. He didn’t take over as talented a team as O did here and he took over a team with major issues abound.
People overtake Orgeron massively and his interim wins. He’s managed to survive the worst Crop if SEC teams in perhaps 3 decades, but is somehow rewarded despite horrible losses.
He’s already shown he will meddle in areas that are way out of his ability and in top of that, he is in no way, shape or form as charismatic as Dabo.
People need to stop trying to polish a turd into gold.

An extreme exception. And he didn't make Clemson elite overnight. Clemsoning became a verb under his watch. It took him 4+ years before he finished in the top 10 (after beating us in Atlanta). Even longer before being a legitimate national championship contender.
Regardless of what your opinion on O is, I'm not sure if our fanbase will be as patient. I don't believe this program should necessarily be that patient either.

its not my opinion what program Clemson was when they hires Dabo. you have to be related to O.
what kind of shite lsu fan gets mad when another lsu fan says lsu was a better program in 2016 than Clemson was in 2011.

Just a general comment. Almost every thread you call people boy, write 1000 word essays about Les Miles, and conduct yourself in a very narcissistic manner. Hate to break it to you tough guy, but there are a lot of people on this board that are smarter, more successful, and tougher

WHAT? He was the Associate Head Coach before that hire. He was OC the year Bowden was let go.

2007–2008 Clemson (AHC/WR)
2008 Clemson (interim HC / OC)
Yes people were pissed about the 6-6 record in 2010, but they saw all those close losses as being progress, plus the freaking recruiting classes he hauled in.

You must seriously have some personal vendetta against Miles.
I know Rick has a reputation as some huge Miles loyalist around here, but pretty much everything he posts is what it is. The numbers reflect positively on LSU. I'm not sure why anyone tries to minimize them in any way.
