So Cabrera went 3 for 3, hit a homerun, had 3 rbi, stole 2 bases AND pitched 2 scoreless innings?!

I’m trying to temper my expectations for Cabrera but today makes it hard.

Cabrera also scored 3 runs, the last one while pitching that inning.

It also makes it difficult to temper expectations.

Three freshman arms have really stepped up so far. Ive been skeptical of cabrera getting more than about 10 innings this season, but he may force himself into a larger role on the mound.

There are enough examples of different ways guys have been able to play both ways, the staff will be able to make it work.

I'm glad to be able to attend the scrimmages and share the summaries with fellow baseball fans.

A non baseball observation from today. The Champions Club was open and I saw a few "motor home fans" with plates and drinks in the purple seats behind home plate. That's the first time I've seen that happen this fall.

Thanks for the report. Love 'em.

I know our pitching will have some questions but hoping our bats can get us back to Omaha.

Cabrera as starting pitcher:
DH for defensive 2b to start.
Then move Cabrera to OF, sub new pitcher for 2b, sub new 2b for OF replaced by Cabrera.

Cabrera as closer:
Start Cabrera in OF.
Then move Cabrera to P, sub defensive OF for P, defensive OF will still be DH'd for.
