Can you expand on this. Was he quick? Does he have a rocket launcher for an arm?

Ripoll playing the field.... interesting. He was a pretty good HS pitcher but definitely undersized. I’m excited to see what Willis, Beloso and Dugas do this fall. The latter killed it this summer

Ripoll is still going to pitch, but he and Hill were mentioned as pitchers that will also get chances to hit. Mainieri said he doesn't want to wait to find the next Bain.

I did a search but couldn't find a schedule for the practices. Where can I find it?
A lot of times they will post the weekly schedule on Twitter. It can change frequently though depending on weather and stuff.

If he can hit, he’s got a great shot at winning that position.

I’m starting to get very concerned with Storz. Per PM he had another setback recently. He had a plasma procedure done in the offseason.

Cole Henry and Easton McMurray were mentioned in the Advocate as guys who also have arm troubles coming in.
To recap:
Gilbert - Out for fall
Beck - Out for fall (speculation: out for longer)
Storz - Not yet cleared
Labas - Not yet cleared
Hilliard - Not yet cleared (doesn't sound promising)
Henry - Unspecified arm trouble
McMurray - Unspecified arm trouble

I don't know the situations around the SEC or the country for that matter but never saw pitching or injuries like we been having on the LSU baseball team, especially pitching.

It seems that the # of kids throwing year around has increased dramatically over the last decade or so. I've seen it first hand, kids throwing 100+ pitches in Jupiter in October so there showcase squad can win the event. Now we are starting to see these effects as the Pitchers get into college. Man that's a long list of arm issues going into the fall, hoping many aren't serious and just need some extra time off. Guess we'll see. Also, fwiw I don't see Storz throwing any significant innings as an LSU Tiger. He likely won't be here much longer, could be the 36th man this fall.

It's throwing year round and throwing more often at their own individual max. Pitchers in general are throwing harder than ever. All 4 freshmen that threw yesterday can (reportedly) touch the mid 90s. None of them sit that high but they can get there.
But with all the showcases and tournaments where it's "just go out there and let it fly for an inning or two" plus the warm ups, playing other positions, and generally never giving their arm a rest throughout the year, it's an epidemic.

That home fall game is the Sunday after the Georgia game?
Posted on 9/24/18 at 3:58 pm to MorbidTheClown
Yep. It will probably be our biggest recruiting visit weekend, if I had to guess.

Yes - October 14th
And Saints have a bye week so not going head to head with them.
