Whewww! FACT, BAMA and LSU would crush the teams you listed. That is why the VOTERS have them 1 and 2. Deal with it! It's good to be the KING!

I just want to watch football. If my team is playing, that is a plus. No boycott for me.

I love how everyone is jumping down the OP's throat when in fact he was making another argument against Bama making the BCSMNC game
you can't win on this board sometimes

It's about honoring the sport. He cannot control who LSU plays after the regular season. All he can do is honor the game and his opponent placed before him, on and off the field.
Ask Nutt. Even with all of the controversy of kneeling the ball he said he knew Les was trying to do the right thing, to be nice about it.

You need to step the frick off with this. Les Miles has more class in his foreskin than most of the remaining CFB coaches, Chip Kelly included. What do you expect him to say? He said he would be honored to play whomever is matched against us. Go find some maturity if you cannot grasp that he can't say much else in that situation. If you are going to call our coach a hypocrite, go do it on your blog where we don't visit.
If you think Les is anything less than class, GFY
What he said.

Lets go back to the old system where the Pac 10 and big 10 take their ball and go play in the Rose Bowl. How many NC came out of the Rose Bowl because they never played the best teams in the country. Ohio State, Oregon and OU need to win when they get in the championship if they want respect.

the problem duck fan is ESPN is covering the game and will promote the ever living crap out of it so theres still going to be a lot of people tune in.
that said, lets just wait and see how things pan out. If the pokes beat OU by a solid amount and VT loses things could get very interesting.

Well said. Man it took long enough for a guy with brains to come out of the closet...
I'm still trying to understand why you are posting this on an LSU board and attacking Les Miles for something we have nothing to do with. We are #1. We will play whomever we are told we have to play. Miles was being polite when he said he would be honored to play them again. He knows it's not up to him to decide who we play and his job is to advocate FOR LSU, not AGAINST anyone else.
FACT: I don't agree with the premise of a rematch and don't really want to play a team for a 2nd time this year. However, we will play #2... and who that is will be determined by the human voters at this point. You're flaming the wrong people here.

He could still think they're not worthy, but he can't force the BCS to not take Bama. He'd probably welcome whoever can get in (and Bama is the most likely bet at this point), but he doesn't have to say he outright likes it.

Shut. Up.

Soooo...let me get this straight. You think Les should freshly make that statement...to provide Bulletin Board material for the Bammers just in case they do happen to squeeze in the NC game.........hmmmm......I don't think so!!!!

As someone who writes a blog you should know better.
I never said I myself am a blog writer. If you must know, I write shitty. But I do enjoy reading them and have many friends in the CFB world and they right now are planning and pumping boycotts. I had spent some time here before our LSU-Oregon game and just thought I would pass on what they are doing. And this sentiment is national. And I do too agree with it...
Take from my post however you wish. I give not a shite...

Especially since you have such a sterling role model like the Chipster.

Can you get all those bloggers to mention Tigerdroppings.com in their write-ups?

As a fan, I don't like re-matches, and should we lose, could we legitmately claim that it ought to be two out of three? As much as I dislike this, these are probably the two best teams in the country. I can't say the interest will be high because it isn't two different teams; however, I think I can say that the interest will be as high as any re-match between Ali and Frazier. The nation watched a regularly scheduled conference game, and it pulled in the second highest rating however they decide that. It was a true evenly matched team trying desperately to knockout the other. A score of 9-6 wasn't an offensive thriller, but it was a great game from start to finish.
I agree with the fact that Alabama is having one less game to play, and they are not even a conference or division champion. If this doesn't prove the stupidity of BCS foolishness, I don't know what does. While every other sport battles to the end of a stringent playoff, football relies on computer and subjective ratings that are massaged to become "objective."
I think you are mistaken about not having a great viewership for the game. Maybe blog authors won't be watching, but the rest of the country will be wanting to see this. Remember this. It will be the final football game of the college season. It will be hyped like we can't even comprehend yet, and these are two teams that will send about ten to fifteen players off to play on Sunday next year. Besides, what if we did have a palyoff system and BAma and LSU wound up as the finalists? Personally, I don't want an SEC vs SEC mathc eiether.
Over the last two or three decades, we have watched a demographic shift in population that has propeled the south and southwest into a football powers. It also applies to California as well. During the 60s and 70s, the Big Ten and the Big Eight produced champions due to the fact that more people lived there so there were more children to provide teams with quality players. Then the coal mines, the auto industry, and the steel mills began to decline, and population shifted to the cities of the south, the southwest, and California. Back then the the Big TEn, really the Big TWo plus Eight, ruled. Ohio State and Michigan were the powers along with independent Notre Dame.
I wrote enough. Have a good day whether you watch the game or not.
