"Eye Test" is completetly subjective and ridiculous.

I know we get it, but it still pisses me off.

Why? You use this all the time to judge how good teams are. Look at the Alabama game. We dominated that game. our offense scored at will. And, for the majority of the game, our defense even dominated. But you don't get that by looking at the score or stats - it requires "eye test".

It basically says, I don’t care how hard your schedule is, just look good while winning and I’ll be impressed.
I was listening to ESPN radio Saturday morning and host had Ohio State first and Clemson second.
When he was challenged by his co-host about the weakness of Clemson’s schedule, he replied,” I’m not taking that into consideration.”
What? How can your strength of schedule not count?!!!

These goons are going to pick who they want to pick. They have agendas. It's meaningless. Just win.

I continue to suspect the committee is trying to avoid another all-Southeast-U.S. final in order to expand the interest in the final game. Money over all else.

I do think the Eye Test is helpful in evaluation, but too often it is a stand in for simply a program's Blue Blood status. I mean, most of Ohio St's complete team B.S. is a simple justification, not actually watching them play.

The eye test might tell a person your team looks good playing Nichols State, but how will that translate when you play a top 10 team?

Penn St, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are a playing a brand of football that belongs on black and white television. Ohio St defense benefits from playing these teams.

If you’re playing the “eye test” game how is anyone else even close at this point?

Anyone whose eye test doesn’t show LSU is the head and shoulders clear #1 needs to have their vision checked by a skilled optometrist
