Yes it does. The music is geared towards certain demographics, and the opposing team is full of them. It is what it is. I don't like it, but it's just how its going to be moving forward.

The players love it, it's how they practice now.
No one cares what the fans think until enough people stop buying tickets and going to games. If 60% of fans complain on the survey and 90% renew their tickets, it's not a problem.

I’m ok with a little piped in music and completely understand why they brought it in. However, I think they need to blend it into the experience a little better. First off, lose the DJ altogether. He is awful and pointless. Secondly, don’t start playing over top of the Band. If the band is playing then let them finish before you blast over the top of them.
I enjoy the band and the nostalgia and atmosphere they bring to the stadium. But I equally enjoyed when they turned off the lights and started blast Boosie with the lite up wrist bands a couple years ago. There is room for and a need for both. Just needs to be mixed together more efficiently and effectively.

the crowd doesn't chant "bitch" unison to the point that it can be heard throughout the stadium over the music. That's EXACTLY what happens when neck, and now other band songs, are played.

It's not the fact there IS piped in music, it's the details about it:
1. Poor song choices most of the time
2. Play it WAYYYY too often and WAYYYY too close to live action game
3. The audio quality is terrible and seemingly a mystery to LSU on how to fix it

Anybody in the current or former LSUAD that had/has anything to do with the initiation and/or continuation of this LEGENGARY LSU FAN NOISE NEUTRALIZING NONSENSE can go straight to the residing locale of Ole Miss.
The
Devil & Demon noise has no place in College Football for any University/College that has a Marching Band.

Old people don't like modern music, what else is new. It's awesome to watch the games and see half a stadium sitting quietly in the 4th quarter of a 1 score game, because the avg age is 75. Prices have not been kind to excitement and decibal levels in Tiger Stadium.

Thanks for furthering my point. During the game, between plays and timeouts is when the band traditionally played, along with the Tiger walk, pregame and halftime of course. But the atmosphere during the game was heightened by the band to something that cannot be recreated by piped in rap, which actually detracts from the atmosphere IMO.

It's not necessarily the music being piped in, it's that it's piped in at the wrong times. I have no issue with the music being played as well as the band playing, but the coordination between the two have to be better, and both ( more the DJ) needs to learn when the crowd noise should take over.

My family has had season tickets for LSU football since 1961 -- Sections 102 and 101. My father started taking me to the home games in about 1978 when I was about nine years old. Attending LSU home football games used to be something I looked forward to, but that's not the case anymore. It hasn't been the case in years, and my primary complaint is the piped-in music. It is infuriating, especially the genre. The only reason I have kept my four tickets and parking permit is because my youngest daughter loves to go to the games. Once she's off to college, regardless of the university she attends, I most likely will drop my tickets and parking permit. That may occur sooner if the rumors are true that the Tradition Fund fees will double next year. At least I've been informed to prepare for the fees to double along with a steep increase in price of the tickets themselves.
