re: Explanation for “Piped-In Music”

I’m ok with a little piped in music and completely understand why they brought it in. However, I think they need to blend it into the experience a little better. First off, lose the DJ altogether. He is awful and pointless. Secondly, don’t start playing over top of the Band. If the band is playing then let them finish before you blast over the top of them.

I enjoy the band and the nostalgia and atmosphere they bring to the stadium. But I equally enjoyed when they turned off the lights and started blast Boosie with the lite up wrist bands a couple years ago. There is room for and a need for both. Just needs to be mixed together more efficiently and effectively.

the crowd doesn't chant "bitch" unison to the point that it can be heard throughout the stadium over the music. That's EXACTLY what happens when neck, and now other band songs, are played.

It's not the fact there IS piped in music, it's the details about it:

1. Poor song choices most of the time
2. Play it WAYYYY too often and WAYYYY too close to live action game
3. The audio quality is terrible and seemingly a mystery to LSU on how to fix it

We want the Tiger Band atmosphere. Not vulger rap music.

The players don't want to hear the band during timeouts and 3rd downs. They want Kendrick and other rappers. It's a player driven game now

But tiger stadiums mystic is the electricity of the atmosphere created by the fans. This is manufactured so the fans become stage players to the music and removes passion, fight, pride to be the most intense sporting event on the planet.
