Absolutely, I gotta feeling the tigers are going to surprise some folks next year. Young talents going to shine.

Am I crazy to think if we would have lost to A&M we actually go to a better bowl game, like the Cotton? The way it could have played out, cotton takes us and SoCar goes to chicken after everything else falls into place.

Point being, in the SEC, I don't think a particular bowl game should be the goal, other than a BCS bowl. So many factors determine the lineup.

I agree for the most part. About 9-4 including a bowl victory is what I'm thinking.

Just like any other year. There will always be excuses. If excuses are an acceptable substitute for championships, excuses are all you'll get.

in addition to early NFL entry, also have stronger SEC West competition and Miles's coaching. Lucky to only lose two games.

I expect LSU to be competitive in every game they play next year. Where the record falls, I don't know, but I know we have the potential to win every game.

If we continue down the road of 80th ranked offenses, we will become, if not already there, irrelivant in the SEC and nationally. Even now talk about the best in the SEC, it is Bama, Georgia, Florida, A&M, and South Carolina. LSU is vanishing as a elite team due to Miles arrogance. And we just gave Miles a raise and extension

Today I can't venture a guess about the record for '13 but, this is what I expect from my tigers.

DEFENSE

I think the back seven will be better.

LB - How Barrow wasn't even honorable mention all SEC is beyond me. He battled Minter all year for team lead in tackles, actually finished the season 100+. He came out of nowhere to accomplish this. All those FAST FAST freshmen LBs will be in the system for an offseason, spring drills, summer workouts and fall camp before we play our next game. They will be bigger, stronger and more familar with the system. Hopefully SR T Jones can stay eligible. Chavis actually started him in bowl.

DB - Freshman all american, freshman all SEC and #1 safety recruit in the country when he signed with LSU. He finally put a whole season together. That's three of our four starters. Tigers had one of the best secondary recruiting class in the country in '12. All those DBs just like the LBs will be better this season.

DL - Who had heard of Brockers and Logan before '11. What had they done on the field their freshmen year? When Freak and Ego step up our interior will be solid. Rasco and probally Hunter are every bit as athletic as Mingo and Montgomery. What the D-line needs is some depth to start developing NOW.

There isn't another school in the country bringing in as much defensive talent in '13 as LSU.

OFFENSE

OL - I expect our three returning starters (true soph and two fr) to be better. Williford a multi year starter is back also. Who will play LT is the BIG question. Watch for Hawkins to make a push for starting job. Boutte and Potic will greatly benefit by coming in early.

WR - Top four return. Look for more production from them in '13. Hopefully Duval and Johnson can turn some heads this spring and summer.

FB - Copeland keep knocking the frick out of anybody in your way.

RB - bringing back top quality SEC proven RBs. I expect Hill to improve greatly. I hope Blue is 100% for the spring. I expect Hilliard to respond and become the man his name represents. Maybe his uncle has to have a sitdown with him.

QB - I expect Mett to expand on the improvement he showed the last four SEC games of the season.

Tigers bringing in some of the top QB and OL recruits in the country for '13. Both QBs and I think three O-linemen will be here for spring semester. They will benefit greatly for this. Just ask V Alexander.

This is what I'm trying to get some people to see. I posted a topic a couple days ago about how inexperienced we'd be without everything happening the way it did with injuries and suspensions and kids unable to qualify.

Next year we should have 2 WRs starting(one 6'4") another 6'2" that is fluid with 4.4 speed. Blue should be 100% and along with Hill will be a great two back tandem. Hilliard on some FB and goaline carries with Magee as change of pace(along with Brazil)

3/5ths of OL has at least 8 straight games of starts(Alexander had a terrible night but sometimes those occur). Williford is also possibly the LT but I'm seeing Hawkins might be placed there. Miles might even move Collins to LT and Williford inside and Porter has gotten some playtime at Center.

DL will be better(more athletic) in the inside with Freak and Ego. Rasco won't be too much of a drop off from Monti and Hunter looked good the times I saw him in the game. We have some great depth coming in and almost all of them should get some playtime.

Backfield will have 3 starters who played just about the whole year. White(an excellent recruit in the mold of his cousin Claiborne) should have a starter spot reserved. People see this unit as so much of a disadvantage but Peterson, Claiborne, and Mathieu all produced their freshman year and White will follow in that tradition.

LBs all have plenty gametime experience and this position was an upgrade this year(albeit a good portion of it Minter). We have tons of guys with experience here.

QB. Mett has to only stop overthrowing his deep ball and everything else he still has wrong is manageable. With a good OL he should be great for us next year.

Zero chance

Seems like we said last year there was no way our offense could be worse when JL/JJ left, yet we dropped in the offensive rankings from #86 to #87, and we are losing two starting OL and another that would have been starting. And we have the same offensive geniuses calling the plays (whether that is Les Studthorpe or some other combination). Are you really saying there is no chance we will be worse offensively??

You say this now, first loss and this place will meltdown and say we are the most talented team and should never lose.
