I don't think any of those guys want to recruit and grind. Great coaches but it takes more than Xs and Os to manage a 365 day a year program

I'd take Kelvin as long as Saban is here on the sidelines coaching! I'd take a chance on Shep. for the DC and I know I will get killed for this but I think Billy would do better here than Fl. and I'd be ok to give him a chance at proving to Fl. they messed up

Amazing that no one on this board has even given Alex Golesh a thought when most likely is the very best option for a multitude of reasons.
But that requires looking a resume's rather than just a person's name.
Amazing lack of depth, but that is LSU's moniker, so I guess we will do it all over again, with another worn out NAME.

I don't trust any candidate, anymore. I keep seeing big name, successful coaches leaving and falling apart at their new jobs. I would trust Saban, but I know he wouldn't be around for long, even IF he took the job. And I don't think he wants any part of this new world of college football that he left for a reason.

People think Kiffin would be so great here because they think he's performed miracles at Ole Miss. But would he have done what he's doing, without the transfer portal and NIL? Is it really all that miraculous, anymore? And what has he done, really? It's not like Ole Miss has never won games before. They just haven't been a title contender since the days of Archie Manning. And last I checked, Lane hasn't even been to a conference championship game, yet. So why don't we treat him like we treat so many other coaches who never get over the hump?

I'm just not excited about any of these guys. All I can do is sit back, and hope they somehow find the right guy.
