I see a ton of bright, energized and exciting venues that are rocking.

Even when its a big game, it just doesn't translate well to television. It would also help if the students had buy in and they weren't 30 feet from the court.

The good thing is, 18-21 years old are easily manipulated by group think. You have to make it a "place to be". A new arena and better environment will do that and have them filling the place in droves early on. A decent team in the mix for an NCAA invite each year will keep them there.

UH is a decent example. Granted, they have had a run of great teams, but their rebirth as a fan base started with a new arena and it went from being 1/3 full to the student section packed every game, to overall sell outs.

But to move to some city or state run arena halfway across town, that will be a huge loss for all...is as anti-LSU that morons like you would support.
I would be VERY surprised if it's off campus. Nor have i seen anything indicating that is a possibility

My concern is that they are going to downsize and make it too small. It needs to hold at least 14,000.

If you’re expecting 14 I think you’ll be disappointed, I doubt it’s less than 12 though. Probably high 12’s low 13’s if I had to guess.

Always thought the PMAC should be painted in some combination of purple and gold. The gray concrete just looks so bland
I can't imagine a more perfect way to white trash the place up.

If it holds more than 11K, I'll be shocked.

You've got to keep in mind one of the main drivers of getting a new stadium is installing as many premium seats as possible, which means the "gen pop" areas are going to have a much smaller capacity.

It's not a dump. Kirby Smith was a dump/eye sore. Renovate or build a new one just improve the situation.

When I was a student at LSU, Kirby Smith and Graham Hall were the elite dorms for men.
