Has anyone read this book and care to give a review? Was thinking about buying it, but I don't want a recap of classic Skip stories that I've already heard.

It’s worth the read despite Guilbeau
He did it as a favor to Bertman as the project had stalled
He really goes in depth with all the titles and some things I had never heard before
Think of it as supporting skip not the author
Hard to imagine what lsu baseball would look like today had skip not been hired and he had several chances to leave lsu over the years

I read it mid season this year and would recommend it. I was too young to remember the 90s dynasty so it was cool to read in depth about it. There’s also some stuff about Skip before he was at LSU and it explains the steps he took to get the program back on its feet. Overall I felt it was pretty good and had a lot of insight from former players, asst. coaches, and other people associated with the program during Skip’s tenure

Got it for Christmas. Highly recommend. It was great reading it during this postseason run. Just rip out the page by Gildeaux.

GG is a turd on his takes, particularly about LSU but he is also a Skip Bertman fan and has been for a long time. He is not a bad writer, in terms of his skill as a writer. He's just a bitter man toward the current LSU administration for some reason.
