Who hired Canada again?

Has there been evidence that O hurt the offense? It sure seems like we getting penalized a lot at the time he stepped in and “meddled” so why does everyone assume it was detrimental to our offense and team? From what I hear the rift mainly stems from who they wanted to play QB

Some coaches do meddle too much but it doesn’t mean it always hurts the team. I didn’t see any changes in plays from game 1 to game 12...maybe some of y’all can help me out and show the differences in the offense from BYU to A&M bc I would really like to see the differences. I am of the understanding we simplified some of our offense to clean up the penalties.

If Canada didn't fit what Orgeron wanted then he needed to go. The question then becomes why was he even hired and then given such a ridiculous contract? Canada's system has been the same for years now so if that's not what Orgeron wanted he should have been able to figure that out before he hired him. There is a lack of strong leadership within the program and it goes all the way up to Alleva.

exactly. if o has a problem with the pre snap motion then hiring canada maybe the dumbest thing O has ever done.

Yea, when he supposedly stopped, we stopped losing games. Our worst games on offense are during the time he was supposedly meddling. Only a retard couldn't see it.

There isn’t a person on here in their heart of hearts believes that Orgeron will win an SEC west title much less a Natty. That’s the issue.

troy.

Let me show how biased you are.

Coach A
Has zero accomplishments
youre happy with a 3 loss season

quote:

Coach B

has one of the most accomplished tenures in sec history
you bash a 3 loss season and claim he vastly underachieved

the fact that you cant see your own hypocrisy is astounding and troubling

This is the biggest issue I have with a certain contingent of our fan base right now. Many of the same posters that were screaming for Miles to be fired (I wasn't screaming but I was with them) are now content with what Orgeron has done (I'm please with the turnaround after Troy, but in no way am I content with the overall direction of the program).

It makes no sense whatsoever.

No they aren't!

Most here are happy being miserable. If a 10-win, top 15 season makes them like this, miserable, then that's on them. But THAT is what they root for, to be miserable and hate life. They're good at it.

it appears that I will stand corrected on the word meddle Rickdaddy. that's the first I've seen of that. but I stand by my statements that the head coach most definitely has the right, indeed, the responsibility to make the final decision on the game plan, esp when the offense was not scoring shite. it also appears the offense began to improve gradually as the season wore on. sometimes conflict is needed to move ahead.

listen, none of us really know the background story here. if Canada was so unhappy because the HC stepped in after a massive failure at MSU he should be able to get over it. if he hung on to his unhappiness then he would begin to resent it. not a good or appropriate response. not saying that was what happened tho but if he is being replaced, SOMETHING happened.

You don't know if these folks are miserable or not. Ranting is fun.

Agreed. But whosenl job is it to find the right fit? O right? Who hired Canada?

Whoever is OC needs to allowed to run the Offense.

O does not know O and needs to be hands off. That was one of the selling points when he was hir3d, that he would allow his coaches to do their job.

it was time for miles to go. i just find it funny that the most vocal against Miles are the most vocal in defense of O.
ive repeatedly said if we win our bowl game then its been a decent year just like i did when Miles won 10 games.
not great just decent. 10 wins i today's cfb should be the floor at lsu. it allows us to lose to 3 teams. thats the floor imo

That is like asking me how I want to set the chassis on a car for the Daytona 500.

I do not know cars like O does not know offense.

I agree. I predicted 9-3 before the season and will most likely do so again next year. Anything less that that is unacceptable and has been for a long time. That doesn't change just because the man with the headset is from South Louisiana.

There's a percentage of the fans that want O to fail just so their ranting and bashing is justified.... Nothing like a good ole I told you so!
