be fair, they looked bad for a reason........that dline and aranda had something to do with it.
you sure that maybe they just aren’t that good?

seeing how frail Brennan looked out there the "thin reaper" nickname is definitely appropriate.

With the quick release and arm strength Brennan should be throwing back shoulder and slants.

Brennan looks like shite.

Wouldn’t say that at all.... Chassion was on his arse before he could set his feet most of the time he looked unsettled. What did stand out was that he made the check down throws for positive yardage. Also, with the exception of one bad decision where he was sacked and tried to throw it away he made mostly good decisions. Narcisse has talent, but he tried to do too much in several situations. Still working towards getting better.

The d-line didn’t help any of them look outstanding... all had positives to look at though.

I liked how McMillan scrambled. He seemed able to dodge rushers and had quickness moving downfield.
He definitely look comfortable, confident, and fluid. I noticed he kept his eyes downfield too. Accuracy suffered with scrambling, however, but not horrendously (no more than anyone else not named Cam??).

Am I the only one who is a little concerned with pass protection. I know its still very early but it won't matter who the QB is if we have people come off the edge untouched a lot
It was bad. Kept distracting me from watching anything else bad (basically had to watch everything twice- once for OL and once for everything else). Did note that I did NOT see a lot of bad decision making/blown assignments, just talent winning out for the D. Also worth noting, Aranda did blitz and it wasn't vanilla; maybe pared down, but not vanilla.

The QBs kept missing him. He looked to be open often and had maybe 10 targets.
That's my takeaway regarding Giles- he kept getting open. Releases from the line weren't so clean... hence maybe why timing was off? Dunno.

3:09 on the Narcisse tape

Narcisse tosses it to Brossette in the flat and Brossette stands there and does nothing

Does he not have the instincts to play football? Was he afraid of Devin White hitting him?

Brennan - after watching all of them, it took about 3 throws to realize Brennan was the best thrower.

He's just not very good.

Its CEH and then its nobody at this point. Lanard had one long run through a huge hole against the 2nd team defense and mouth breathers said he looked great .

Hopefully Curry is good and Provens can play a 3rd down back role with his speed.

I wish we could take Etling’s football demeanor and match it with Brennan’s talent.

Myles is hyperactive in the pocket. Reminds me of Jarrett Lee in that way

shite, give Etling's body mass to Brennan and we'd be talking about a totally different QB.

My take is our OL is not there yet. Brennan had to throw a lot of passes away due to no time in pocket. Was able to complete a lot of short passes and some passes when he rolled out but anything downfield he had no chance because the OL couldn't give him time. McMillan is able to tuck it and run to get away from the pressure. Brennan is definitely our best passer but with no time to throw the ball then you don't need your best passer to play. At this time McMillan is able to avoid the rush and make some throws so OL can get away with less protection. All I can say is we better get real good at screens!!

Also true. It looks like he’s afraid to get snapped in half, which is a real possibility in the SEC with 300 pound lineman bearing down on you every play.

Brennan is without question the most natural thrower, and if he were 30-40 pounds heavier, it’d be a no-brainer. Unfortunately he has no escapability and if a defender nails him in the chest or blindsides him I don’t see how he gets up. Narcisse is built like a monster but is raw as can be. He’s a pure athlete with a lot of room to improve - has legit arm strength and no doubt will be able to create plays with his legs, but his throws are way too risky (throwing into double coverage etc). He’ll be continuing working on his mechanics in Florida with Jarvis Landry and his crew so hopefully he will improve before fall.

Pretty amazing after watching that that they’ve spent the last 2 years telling us that Brennan is the savior. Think they put the cart before the horse on that one

And I’m a big fan of LN, but he may be a year away as well. Saw some things I really liked and then it seemed like the wheels fell off there in the middle somewhere for some reason. Think he has the highest ceiling. Would really like to atleast see him in some Tebow packages with that frame of his

Small sample size but our best option right now may be to give it to McMillen and let the other two develop for another year and fight it out next year.

So, is our pass rush that good or is our offensive line that bad?
