Ok Nuss isn’t as good as Daniels, I accept that and do believe the coaches to this point have played the best qb. Having said all that , Nuss seems to understand the positions on def better, can read the defense pre snap better and can look for secondary receivers better. Neither is greatly accurate but I think it’s time to let daniels watch the defense some from the sidelines. If Howard can red shirt and play 4 games this might be the best. Continue to use Daniels in a wildcat type plays to give Howard or nuss a break and to coach them up between plays.

You know what type of QB would shred defenses with this talent on the outside? It's a shame that before the season our coaches felt it necessary to tell Myles that he wouldn't be able to play over Jayden.

Yep, the trim, motivated, healthy, well-practiced, early-2020 version of Myles Brennen would have been a great fit for this team. Unfortunately that guy might not have existed in 2022 after he got torn in half, then shattered his arm, gained weight, seemingly lost motivation, and fell two years out of practice.

You weren’t getting 2020 Brennan this year without a Delorean and a lightning bolt.

Denbrock not getting this WR group involved over the middle is ridiculous
Jenkins dropped a TD over the middle that would have cut the score to 20-14 and ended the half

If you think Nuss looked fine against Auburn then I know that you surely were not at the Game and more than liekly did not even watch the game. He played nearly the whole 4th quarter and was 2/6 for 5 yds not to mention being scared to death!!

Saw the whole game.

You apparently have a very low football IQ.

He threw 6 passes. Five of his throws were on the money. Two were complete. Two were dropped, and I am DROPPED. Another was a perfect pass, but the defender knocked it loose near the sideline.

LSU was driving when Emery fumbled. Not his fault on that TO.

Nuss was playing with a lead, not trying to come from behind. Play calling is a little different in that situation.

If you think he looked bad against Auburn, then you need to go take a remedial football knowledge class.

Because Nuss is worse. We’ve seen him

We’ve seen a large sample size of Daniels and know he’s not the answer. Give Nuss the keys and a start and see what happens.

we've seen lots of Daniels too. and only snippets of Nuss.

I'd trade the whole qb staff for Myles and a walk-on right now.

They are SCARED TO DEATH to criticize him because he's black. Those announcers AIN'T ABOUT to lose a six figure job, so they frame it as nicely as possible. It's really sad that they can't speak the truth these days. And by the way, Daniel's race is irrelevant. He's just not that good of a QB.

I knew when he transferred here he would most likely be the starter. I argued this several times. It doesn't mean I think he's great though. He's shown that he's a mediocre passer at best, and we won't realize the offense's full potential until Howard and QBs after him develop. Daniels was brought in as a stop gap, nothing more or less.

So just play a worse qb so that they get reps? That’s what you want to do?
Yes, it's the smart thing to do.

At LSU, the backup QB is ALWAYS better.

With rare exception

every announcer, talking head, and analyst....
are very politely saying as nice as possible that JD isn't a good qb. no one wants to dump on him -he's playing hard and giving his all, but he just doesn't have it.

only our staff wants to hang with him.
they don't know shite! The same people that said that were the same ones talking shite about DJ U at Clemson. They were so sure of themselves talking up the true freshman because he threw pretty balls vs a bad team at the end of a game, yet Dabo said F you and rode with his QB. Over the last 3 games (2 vs top 15 ranked opponents) that QB has thrown for 800 yards and 9 TDs to 1 int adding 194 rush yards and 2 TDs. I've seen so many of them backtrack on him.

I want to see him after the bye. In Mett's first year here he was the same, the same for Burrow in his first year here.

Well, we need to give the other qbs some experience.

Special teams was awful and spotted them 10 points.

Run game was non existent.

Several bad coaching decisions in crucial situations.

But the problem is the guy who was 32 of 45 for 300 years and a touchdown. The long strike to Taylor could have easily been another TD. Y’all are so transparent. . .
