Thanks.
I'm old but can still list all our championship seasons but the lows of those seasons fade quickly. And likewise, if we win it all this season this past weekend will soon be forgotten.

We lack senior leadership. Guys like Pearson and Brasswell just aren't very vocal
I don't think leadership is reserved only for seniors. It sounds like Bear and Jake Brown give the pregame speeches. Sheerin has been a hype man as well. Guys like Frey and Guidry have been at LSU longer than Braswell.

Good teams don't get swept in a situation like that.
We know exactly what this team is now and that early season ranking looks silly now.
2022 Ole Miss won the CWS after getting swept at home twice (Tenn & Bama). They lost two series at home (State & A&M) and lost two series on the road (USC and Arky). Crazy shite happens.
Is it frustrating to see the team play like they did this past weekend? Of course. Is the season over? hell no.

28-2. I was there. The 2 runs came on solo shots. Also, won on Sunday for the title. Doug got hammered and then came back to close out the title game. Sat down the first base line with who we found out on Sunday was his dad. Luckily we didn’t bash him. At bama was always a battle.

It happens fairly often tbh. People hate the team “that’s baseball” but it literally is just baseball.

Didn’t we get swept by Tennessee in 09? At home? Might have taken 1.
We did lose 2 of 3

I could have sworn we did as well but after looking it up we won on Friday and lost Saturday and Sunday. The 09 team also lost a home series to Illinois.
Tennessee swept us in 2008, not 2009

28-2 on the Saturday game that was the SEC Game of the Week of CST.
I lived in birmingham at the time. That was the only regular season LSU game I was able to attend that year.

Remember that as well. Yan Gomes destroyed us.

2023, last 2 SEC series, didn't get swept, but lost 2 of 3 in a row to finish season vs Miss St and Auburn.

How in the frick can you make that assumption?
While you aren't replying to me, I don't think it's a large leap to make that statement. Sure, it's a possibility they are vocal, but if you listen to interviews of the players, they frequently name the vocal guys and leaders. I don't think I've ever heard Pearson or Braswell named in those conversations. It doesn't mean they aren't great guys and teammates.

Bingo. You can learn a lot about the team from the post game interviews

Wrong, wrong, and,……..wrong.
Auburn has a good team and a great hitting coach. The had a plan to get to our starters and executed it.
Our offense has been pressing for a few games. And we didn’t execute very well last week. Nichols almost pulled off the upset. I don’t know how long we go before we pull out of it, but I know we will pull out of it.
