CFB is more exciting when UF is a solid team. Always looked forward to the game bc it was a grind and we seem to hate each other

Not playing Auburn and Florida every year is the cost we paid to import a bunch of fruits from Texas into the conference.

And it was not worth it.

Go back to 12 teams.

Revert to 10 and play a round robin.

In the context of the totality of SEC football Auburn was a pretty new "rival" for LSU.

When the clock went to 0:00 on Septeber 17, 1994 after Jamie Howard threw 73 interceptions is when Auburn became a rival to me. I have wanted to beat them mercilessly in every game since.

Except 1997!

Spurrier and his Fla Team were literally/visibly/physically "PUNCH DRUNK" the entire 4th Quarter due to the D E A F E N I N G ~ D E S T A B A L I Z I N G NOISE in Tiger Stadium while LSU took proceeded to take out the #1 Ranked Gators!

It was T H E Loudest Game I've ever experienced in over 60 years, hundreds of games attended in Tiger Stadium!

It got BEYOND Loud and jumped into a "State/Field" (phenomenon) similar to a crescendo of constant, unrelenting "White Noise"!

Never experienced anything like it before or after!

It makes absolutely no sense. LSU-Florida has been an intense rivalry almost every year since 1957, and the games, especially since the turn of the millennium, have been highly entertaining, each one with at least one bizarre game-changing play included.

If we don't play UF to make the playoff chances better, who cares. I could care less if we played Bama every year, if you told me that would result in us making the playoffs every year.

Well we aren't telling you that is the result because it clearly fricking isn't. That means we're left with trying to make the playoff just like before only without some of the best yearly rivalries LSU had along the way.

I’m probably in the minority, but I miss the old days when winning the conference was the goal.

Amen. And now they’re talking about doing away with the SEC title game, which some call meaningless.

If you grew up in Baton Rouge but now live elsewhere in the South, let me tell you it’s anything but meaningless. It’s the Super Bowl of the most important conference.

Do I get smack talk when LSU played Ohio State or Clemson for natties? Not much. I hear nothing when LSU plays a bowl against pretty much anyone.

But I hear it all offseason when they lose to Georgia, Alabama, TexasA&M, MSU, Oke Miss, Florida, USC & etc.

Give me SEC titles. Natties take care of themselves when you win the SEC. Natties are just the icing on the cake. I can’t stand fans who are afraid of tough conference title games. If you can’t win those, you have no business trying to win a national championship.

Right on, brother. Like LSU vs Georgia in 2022. LSU was really not a very good team that year, but they caught lightning in a bottle with wins over Bama, Ole Miss, Miss St., and a big comeback triumph over an average Auburn team. That LSU team, who had already suffered big losses v Tennessee and A&M, shouldn't even have been on the same field as Georgia, but they nevertheless earned that opportunity to compete against a much better opponent in the SEC title game.

I couldn't agree more. Never should have taken the Aggies and Mizzou back in 2012. Big 12 should have stayed together and SEC should have stayed with the original 12.

SEC should be “southeastern” conference so kick Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri to the curb and go back to 12 team conference.

Florida's fan base are all a-holes

Only when they are winning. I made the road trip from 98-04. The fan base was nice as can be during the Zook days. I made sure to thank them for hiring him so that the Saints didn't have to fire him.
