He will be on a very short leash if he cannot or wii not push the ball down the field. I don't think Kelly will put up with another 80 yard passing game, because Our offensive line will be great next year, and the other two quarterbacks have enough escapability to get out of bad situations and push the ball

The team MVP who led us to a West Title is not on a short leash

I doubt it. Most coaches stick to their starting QBs.

These guys can DV all they want but that is my 100% expectation. However, If he waits that long we will likely only have one backup option.

This is the most judicious political way of dealing with a returning upperclass starter with some success yet not achieving the height of the bar. I am a pragmatist when it comes down to it. It is possible that BK makes this move in Spring ball and name a starter before the May TP period. CUM did this for Joe Burrow and like him or not we are forever in his debt. CUM said he owed to the guys to not drag it out and I support that message.

He will be near the top of nearly all major preseason awards and will be the best qb on the field in almost every game we play, maybe all.

For some reason that bothers a large swath of folks on here who claim to be tiger fans.

I don't know who you're talking about. Don't know who Jaden is.

So you're one of those guys that wants your QB to throw 2+ ints per game. First year under a new coach and team and this guy beats Bama and wins the West. You guys are insufferable.

No doubt. The man beat AL and led us to 9 (hopefully 10) wins this season which far exceeded expectations especially after that season opener debacle.
He could shite all over the field to start next season against FSU again and the back up will not get one series.
Get used to it and pray he can actually consistently see downfield after 4 years as a starting QB.
BTW - an actual stud RB per LSU historical standards would certainly help the passing game. Right now, nobody on the roster fits that role.

Lets see how short it is when he is 8-0 as the starter next year.

I think Daniels will have a monster year next year. However, I still think that he should have declared because of the QB situation in the NFL this year.

From ESPN:
quote:

Blough and the Raiders' Jarrett Stidham will become the 63rd and 64th quarterbacks to have started an NFL game this season, tying a non-strike record set in 2007. The only other NFL season with more starting quarterbacks was the 1987 strike year, when there were 87 different starters.

Only 11 of the NFL's 32 teams have had one starting quarterback this season. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Cardinals on Sunday will tie the Los Angeles Rams as the teams with the most starting QBs this season with four.

I love the selective reasoning. Nuss has thrown 5 career Ints in two yrs. Do you know how many Ints JD threw his last season at ASU??? 10! He had 10 Ints and only 10 TDS but you are jumping up and down at the huuuuggeee achievements he had this season. JD did do well under BK's management but if BK can get JD down from 10 picks a season ago down to 3 this season why do you think he cant do it with Nuss???

I was looking at a few similar QB's like Jalen Hurts for statistical comparisons and something hit me. JD had 3 career Ints going into his Jr yr and then threw 10. Now I see why he hesitates like a deer in the headlights. There was another trend I noticed too. His running yds went up each season. That is not all bad because Hurts abolutely blew up at OU after sitting a year at Bama.

So in short your analysis says JD will improve immensely but Nuss is incapable of improvement. I will certainly agree with anybody that says both of these guys need to improve.

Winning the west in a transition year is frustrating?

Nuss will have to make big strides to have him on any sort of short leash

Why do you think this? He wasn't on a short leash at all this year and we had two quarterbacks that were 1A and 1B. I just don't see why he would be on any shorter of a leash next year than he was this year.

Lies he was chosen as the starting qb by the same people who u think has him on a short leash

Don’t think Kelly has a problem with that.He did that twice and Kelly still had him start the next week

,

because Our offensive line will be great next year,

Which means the receivers will actually be able to get open and Jd won’t have to depend on his legs as much
quote:

and the other two quarterbacks have enough escapability to get out of bad situations and push the ball

JD is the best at that. Only one of the other QBs has played in a game
