Which is the right call.

What we do today won't shut them up. Had that ball been called correctly, they may have won and there would be no game today.

I'm glad the call went our way, but it was the wrong call. I'd be furious if the situation were reversed and we were eliminated on that shite.

Let's make today a no-doubter

But Slaughter was plunked and the ump determined he leaned into it. Of course his legs were into it as he was trying to hit the ball aight.

Uhh first off, there would have been an extra base runner.

No, Kwan walked to load the bases. Lange ended up walking the guy who would have scored off a review in anyway. No difference in the outcome, sorry.

I'm not defending the call. I just don't see why you're using a correct call to argue that a wrong call was bad?

I had not seen that much before now. I was under the impression the batter must be hit. Things change I suppose.

Did they mention Slaughter getting plunked and not being awarded a base.

Yes. They talked about it a lot. They said it was an absolutely brutal call. they still aren't going to talk about something that was completely meaningless vs something that was a huge goddamn deal. Had Kwan doubled later in the AB they probably wouldn't be talking about it anymore.

No, dumbass. Kwan popped out to CF. At least be able to get facts right before looking like a complete moron.

ETA: LINK

Link to box score which shows Kwan going 0-4 with no walks just in case you wanted to keep arguing.

What's worse is ESPN was saying the umpires would not review the play. It's not their job to review unless a review is called for by the coach.

no you're just really stupid. I'm sorry that you're stupid and don't know what the hell happened in the game yesterday.

Also wrong. The umpires could have and should have called for a review.

So could Oregon State's coach.

Because I don't obsess over one at bat? Lange walked 3 batters that inning, I confused one with Kwan. It happens, now go eat a bag of dicks loser.

It was not very controversial in the game, except in the booth and to people seeing the frame by frame slow motion 100 times. So other than having that and the benefit of hindsight, why should the umps have stopped the game to review it, when the coaches for the team it impacted didn't even care to do it?

No, because you're in a thread complaining about how much a missed call has been talked about and you dont even know what happened and why it mattered at the time. And now you're trying to back track and say you don't obsess over said at bat. That makes you stupid.

I like your thinking.. I rather not give a mulligan to OS frick them! Coaches blew that call they lost umps called it like it should have been called. End of frickn story, that's the point. How LSU fans are going to give credit to another team we are battling for a championship with is beyond me. Now let's go win this damn game.

I thought it loooed fair naked eye live and was relieved when it was called foul. One of the announcers said he thought it looked fair. Upon the first replay Burke and Peterson both immediately said that's a fair ball boys.

Why should they have looked at it? Because they should have understood the impact and how close of a play it was and looked at it, especially given the stage of where we are. It isn't hard to look at a replay and make sure a call is right. I've seen umpires look at plays in the late innings of games with no manager challenge that weren't anywhere near as close of a call as this one was.

Anyone arguing they shouldn't have looked at this call is a complete homer and would be complaining/imploding had it been the other direction.
