A&M went 7-5 in 2019 with cupcakes on the schedule then finished 2020 at #4.

Seriously! You’re delusional bud! One season to the next doesn’t always mean what you did the season before!

If Orgeron can't get the program back up to elite status in 2021, BN will just have a short 50 mile move East..........

I do think the 2020 season was just one of those really weird ones for LSU. Seemed there was always some sort of internal stuff going on, and it just snowballed. But there really is way too much talent returning for another 0.500 season in conference play.

In my unprofessional opinion, LSU probably has the one of the widest floor to ceiling margins amongst the P5s. If things start slipping early in the season, then maybe 0.500 in conference. But if a positive groove gets going early, I could also see a run towards Top 5 with the game vs. Alabama being a potential SEC West Champ deciding point.

Seems fair enough considering our finish with injured qb returning and most starters.

Reading through, one big question keeps popping up for me.

Are second year players Freshmen or Sophomores this year?

I guess they're going forward with the classes and will tack on extra years as necessary at the end.

The poll which is likely the opinion of a single writer at ESPN will look nothing like the actual polls this fall.

The aggies in the top 10?

Ole Miss and UL Lafayette ranked?

This poll is shite.

For ESPN, the day before the season opens is “too early”.

Anyone who has their top 3 not including Alabama Ohio state and Clemson is high.

LSU at 20 is fair. We have a lot to prove but we’re pretty much always going to be a top 25 team barring a freak season like 2020.

Your bias is showing. You live under a rock? A&M is a top 10 team as of right now. They’re coming off a NY6 win. Where was LSU after we won the fiesta bowl? ULL had a damn good season and is a respectable program now. Ole Miss finished the season hot. What’s so crazy here?

Didn’t mention LSU, but that’s likely where they will be ranked to start.

Not a knock on A&M, but last year was supposed to be the season to make a run, not this year. Y’all lost a lot of production and are breaking in a freshman QB. That doesn’t usually result in a top ten ranking for most teams.

Ole Miss doesn’t have a defense and I believe hasn’t recruited well enough to be a ranked team. Just my opinion.

ULL? Pretty good as of late but in a normal year without COVID they don’t finish the season as a ranked team.

Let’s revisit in the fall, I have a feeling the real polls will not have the same look.

This is a hype list to keep College football in the conversation. LSU is easily better than ten teams ahead of them.
