I know I'm gonna get down-voted but for those of you who have ANY type of satellite or old cable services need to get with the program. Streaming is much better and it's not even close. I have HULU live and I have the app on my phone. I get more college sports for less money and I can watch it anywhere. Streaming will make satellite dishes obsolete.

Do you hope athletic departments sink too? Where do you think LSU would get 75mill to replace the SEC network money.

Never thought about that. YoutubeTV for 4 months of the only time I actually use ESPN.

Disney owns HULU. They want to cripple the competition and get everyone to purchase a HULU subscription, which gets you Disney+ and ESPN+.

Sling TV's contract with Disney/ESPN ended this morning. No more SEC network and ESPN on Sling, apparently.

This will continue to happen. Money to support the growth of the sport will have to come from somewhere.

Well considering that espn is who is paying an inordinate amount of money for the SEC exclusive tv rights dish and direct are standing against us.

If Disney and espn fails then the sec fails

I don’t think the death to ESPN crowd understand this. The SEC won’t fail but life gets exponentially harder for athletic departments and all sports.

I'm all for it. There needs to be a correction.

College football was here before ESPN and would be here after.

Dish only has 14 million or so customers. That’s over $71 per customer just for ESPN. Streaming tv services cost less than that for the entire package.

Something doesn’t sound right.

But that $71/customer is what allows schools to fire a coach with $17million left on their contract and sign a new coach to a $100 million guaranteed.
