ESPN so obvious in their bias

#2 - LSU vs Alabama - "What made this game great was

how Joe Burrow effortlessly carved up bama's defense for 60 minutes. Like he said, that was a beat down. Score didn't do it justice.

I know if if was a skiff, but...we were on their 35 yard line on the first drive of the 3rd quarter getting ready to make it 40-13, if not for a fluke tipped INT. Game over then.....

So...they hate us again?

Almost to a person, they have said that this is the greatest single season in CFB history for a quarterback and one of the greatest seasons for a team (and in terms of pure resume, the greatest).

Even Rece Davis said this is the best season in college football history.....what more do you want?

Comes with beating the hell out of everyone else.

We only had a few close games.

Well, to be honest here.
One game had a potentially game deciding pass into the endzone with less than a minute to go.
The other never saw the losing team take a single snap with a chance to tie or take the lead.

Where do they rank LSU vs Clemson?
Dead last. Ranked #100.

It was a blowout.
Those never rank very high on great games lists.

He is selling to his audience. Period. Has no merit based on his approach. No click.

I agree with the others in that there’s nothing to get too riled up about here but l’ll also give you some kudos here. There are posters on here who’ve been posting for years yet don’t know how to provide a link and you provided three in your first one ever.

The writer said the game was so good, he scored it like a "12- round title fight".

This perceived bias in a "best games" ranking is just another example of looking for something to get outraged about.

And the 100th spot on a list of 100 is largely ceremonial. And from the standpoint of trying to draw the reader in, what better way to kick off the list than to mention the most recently played game.

It's a very strange thing to bitch about.

It's ESPN. On any given day you're going to get LeBron James, Patrick Mahommes, Tiger Woods, and occasionally the lesbian on the US women's soccer team. Any story outside of that is just fill.

how dialed in was Burrow at recognizing the moment.

in that LSU football vid embedded in the article he immediately tells Chase "we arent done, we are not done yet" that dude was as focused as it gets.

season was beyond words.

ESPN article on O extension and raise - another shot

Orgeron will have work to do this offseason, with passing coordinator Joe Brady leaving to become the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers less than 24 hours after helping the Tigers win the title. Defensive coordinator Dave Aranda also left to become the head coach at Baylor.

Well for 2018 they had the 7 OT aTm game as #1. Did that make you happy?

I saw this yesterday and laughed. Knew someone would get their panties in a wad and make this thread

1. A "Title Fight" between two teams that didn't win the title.

2. Featuring "The most talented players." The winners of the Heisman, AP National Player of the Year, Davey O'Brien, Walter Camp, Maxwell, Biletnikoff, Jim Thorpe, the best Freshman in the country, and 4 All Americans all played for LSU.

This is not opinion. The claims he made were categorically false statements. This is not good journalism. This is not journalism at all.

You just keep digging a deeper hole for your dumbassery.

Plenty of ESPN commentators have been all aboard the "LSU is the GOAT" train.

To be fair, most of our games were pretty boring from an outside perspective. We were just too dominant to be exciting this year.
