Assuming 2 undefeated teams one of which is Ohio State and the other either being from the PAC, ACC, or Big 12, I think LSU would probably be #3 in both polls behind Ohio State at #2, but we'd likely be #2 in the computers and Ohio State may not even be in the top 10. Currently, at least in Sagarin's BCS computer poll, LSU is #6 and Ohio State is #10. If we win out, we can only move up. Ohio State could win out and still drop since they don't play anyone highly ranked (Michigan is currently 35th in Sagarin's for example).

So yeah, if LSU wins out, and if Ohio State is #2 in the polls, I think the computers will do their job and save us all from having to watch that shitty Ohio State team get destroyed in the NCG and allow us to watch them get destroyed a week sooner in the Rose Bowl.

If this is true, no way Fla St gets left out. The only undefeated's we have hope jumping are Ohio State and Louisville. Ohio State isn't even a given IMO. Now you're talking about having 4 other undefeated teams? No way. We'd be Sugar Bowl bound.

The polls are 2/3 of the BCS formula. The top two teams in the final coaches poll have been 1 and 2 in the BCS every year since 2003 when the formula was different. The SOS difference between LSU and a team like Florida State or Clemson will not be enough to offset that.

Enjoy this while you can. Next year a one loss SEC Championship game winner get the shaft. All this playoff system crap is about reining in the SEC.

we don't get in if Oregon AND either Clemson or Florida State are undefeated.

I mean, we would have a chance, but not likely.

we know that both Clemson and Florida State can't make it.

I'll probably root for Clemson this weekend because they will have to beat South Carolina to stay undefeated. Florida State will likely handle Florida this year. but you never know.

You always have to have some luck to get in the championship game.

Odds go up next year.
