ESPN on our chances to win NC next season

Interesting to see what they say about our passing game last year.
LINK
Summary:
*outstanding running game, with not just Fournette but Guice
*passing game was actually better than it appeared
we were 25th in total QBR, but curiously (considering our running game) we were only 38th in total QBR in play-action passes and 50th in QBR for vertical play-action passes
*offensive line has a lot of depth
*defensive line is loaded
*maybe the best secondary in the country
*special teams last year were worst since 2006 - predict that they will return to the norm for a Miles-coached team
*perhaps the toughest schedule in the country, but if we have one loss, the schedule could be an advantage over any other one-loss team

The Tigers' passing game was their biggest weakness last season, yet in reality, it was a lot better than generally thought.

for miles this season is the one he must have, or he is gone. Imagine the anger with the anticipation of this season if we still have 3+ losses.

For those of us without ESPN insider, can we get the cliffs or some excerpts?

I agree with ESPN, we WILL win it all this fall. 18 out of 22 starters back with TONS of big game experience, Aranda WILL improve our D, Heisman Trophy RB, the tallest roster of WR in the country, a budding superstar at QB, highest paid coaching staff in college football, a VERY favorable schedule including Bama and Ole Miss at home, plus while I think Bama will always be in the NC conversation under Saban, I think they lose too much and the law of averages catches up to them, very difficult in this era to keep winning NC with the parity involved.

Sorry, I didn't realize at first this was Insider content. I'll go back and put a brief summary in my original post.

It's amazing the standard people hold the defense to but refuse to do the same with our offense

Can't put it all on defense when offense didn't do them any favors giving them rest on the sideline in their 3 losses. The defense had a down year but passing game was definitely the weakest point. But it wasn't near as bad as any year under Jennings or J Jefferson. I think Harris will have a very strong season this fall.

When are you folks going to realize the facts? Or rather one simple fact. The balls of Alleva and of the so called "buyout" boosters are now hanging from the wall on Miles office. Miles will be "gone" when he decides he wants to.

I was not aware that you had the awesome power that taft didn't have , Geaux Tigers and Les Miles !

I'll refrain from judgment and curb my level of excitement until the we finish the third week of November.

When will people realize that it does not matter who Bama loses as long as Saban is on the sideline? Every damn year people say the same thing only to see Bama in the hunt for it all at the end of the year.

I agree our offense failed to capitalize throughout the end of the season but our defense was a hot mess the majority of the year. Thank you Lord, Steele is long gone
We moved the ball well against Ole Miss - total yards gained favored LSU. Those 3 turnovers killed us though.
Our defense was barely on the field and weren't doing us much favors

No, he isn't going anywhere. Worst case he wins 9 games and gets carried off the field again.
