All of this is very interesting considering LSU gets millions from ESPN through the TV rights with the SEC. Very very interesting

Who doesn't? And if you don't think we negatively recruit at times, then I can't help you.

quote:

Sanctions and the threat of sanctions are great selling points to convince a kid to not go to LSU. Saban is loving it. He will keep it alive. And I would bet my paycheck he will bring it up to recruits.

And none of this has anything to do with my rebuttal that he pulled strings at ESPN to get this done.

He might bring it up with recruits, but do you think we wouldn't?

We fricked up. Now we have to own it. If anything, we have the chance now to own the narrative of what we're doing differently, so I'd imagine we are speaking to that when talking to recruits.

I didn’t say he pulled the strings. I said he is loving it and I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. Regardless, the program was very biased and misleading. It portrayed allegations as facts and left out anything that didn’t fit the narrative.

If this happened as Alabama, would ESPN be as smearing them this way??

Uhhh...

This is an obvious public opinion attack against LSU. Bet Nick Saban is loving it. Wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled a few strings to get them to talk about it.

Nick doesn’t hate LSU. He knows , however, that LSU is the only real challenger to him dominating college football every year.

Nick Saban gives zero fricks about LSU. He uses his energy to better his team and doesn’t worry about the other guys. That’s why he dominates.

Just reporting what’s going on at LSU. Which is NOT good at the moment... I really don’t believe it’s some kind of smear campaign.

Maybe. But there are two views of what purpose Television/media reporting supports:

1) give news to the masses

2) sensationalize in order to sell advertising

IMHO, ESPN slips in #2 1000%.

Some of you have gone off the deep end with this Alabama stuff. LSU has beaten Alabama 1x in the last 10 years and Bama could have put 70 on LSU last year if they wanted to. If Saban had the power to order hit pieces, wouldn't it stand to reason he'd be doing it to Clemson or Ohio State?

Yet Kim Mulkey left an elite program she built to come here, and by many accounts Godwin is set to jump as well. That’s why the money spent for KM was well invested. The actions of the best in breed hires and outstanding recruiting in FB and MBB refute any commentary from ESPN, Vitale, Guilbeau, etc. Deep down the outlets and the referenced hacks know this to be the truth.

You really think LSU is competition for BAMA?

You’re as bad as ESPN. Why didn’t you quote my whole point? I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. I didn’t say he definitely did it. But there you go misrepresenting what I said. You have a future in media just keep it up.
