Not only that, but they dont have enough data to be worth a shite for the first 3-5 weeks. They HEAVILY weight last years and the previous yearS data at the beginning of the year. By mid season FPI ans SP+ are really good at predicting wins and losses.

FPI early in the season is heavily skewed by "Talent". As in ESPN recruiting rankings. Which is garbage. By the end of the year it's a little more useful but they still have the dumb "talent" factor.
