As long as we end up in that position at the end of the regular season, I’d be ecstatic

Wouldn’t happen but imagine the melt if 3 sec teams got in to the playoffs
Would have to be something like unbeaten Alabama giving UGA their only loss in the SECCG and LSU having lost only to Bama during the season for all 3 to get in.

The SEC East had a better overall record and much better conference record than the West last season. They had three 10+ win teams to the West’s 2 and their worst team was 5-7 compared to the West’s 2-10.
SEC Division overall records
East: 57-34
West: 56-35
Conference record
East: 30-26
West: 26-30
I wonder what the east versus west record was....

Good on the East. That'll flip this year, bank it

Honestly, I see 9 or 10 wins for the west not counting the seccg

The possibly only chance for three SEC teams in playoffs then bama can't win conference of play in atlanta.
Try this situation. LSU beats bama by two scores. Tigers get a late score to make it 10+. Then LSU turns around and loses by one on last play FG in SECCG.
SEC champion. One loss LSU with double digit win over bama and big win over Big XII champion texas. Both make the playoff. Does committee give one loss bama spot over other conference champions?
Only way SEC ever gets three in is if bama is third team.

Probably need Ole Miss and Auburn to both sweep for that many wins.
ETA: Nevermind, just one.

I am not going to say that is 110% correct....but.....the guy and his coaches have no idea how to orchestrate a good fake nor get his team motivated for a bowl game after a loss . He is a terrific recruiter who learned from the Demi-God of recruiting. As far as a bench coach...he is learning on the job. Kirby never was a HC in any shape or from until he was hired at UGA.

didn’t this board bitch about the FPI formula a couple years ago? As I recall, it factors in returning players and recruits.
I guess we hate the FPI when it’s bad for us, but love it when it’s good.
Personally, I ignore all polls and nonsense like this. Just watch the games. Then we’ll all know.
