Guarantee you there are people hoping he will fail to help validate their faith in Miles

Just as there were those hoping one of our Sr QBs would fail last season.

As to Miles, his record of elite success at LSU is all the validation he needs. Anyone not as of yet ready to admit their lack of faith in Coach Miles was/is unfounded is simply showing their lack of understanding of SEC/BCS football.

As to Mett, I hope he blows the freaking doors off the SEC and college football.

If he doesn't, it's not gonna be cause the LSU staff rushed him/asked too much from him too soon or threw him under the bus as was done with both the Sr. some like to dump on at every chance.

I think they were spot on with everything that was said. They could have discussed our Defense a little more, but even us LSU fans know ZMett is going to be the difference one way or another this year.

Palmer was great as usual. Blackledge as well. And Pollack has had questions about every team he's talked about in the roundtable so far.

Yeah, but as said earlier, Pollack and Smith never pass up a chance to criticize and/or belittle us. Smith is worse, but Pollack is not far behind.

eah , great idea. Bring in a guy with no experiance against a firebreathing Alabama defende in the national championship game.Saban would have had him for dinner.
---------

Sure... like he ate up the terrible Garret Gilbert after Colt McCoy got hurt. He damn near lost to a frosh with no experience. Texas not only got over the 50, they scored enough to make it a game late in the fourth. What Nick does not like is change. It messes with his plan. That's why JJ was less awful in the first game - Nick was prepared for Lee. If nothing else in the NC put Lee in and make them change up the D. Instead Les quit and took his whipping like a... whatever. If he couldn't win with JJ I guess it wasn't worth it.

And everybody on here who defends that performance validates everything that Bama says about LSU last season. That we had no chance of beating them and were just lucky in the first game. That's a good job of crapping on the rest of the team just to defend Les and JJ. That was one strange combo for four years.

The LSU team I saw for the whole season was not the one I saw on Jan 9th. Something was very wrong. And it would take a blind man with his head up his arse not to see it.

i just watched it. i agree with some of the question marks they brought up. losing randle is big, and shep has still yet to live up to the hype.

i don't agree with heribe brining up the schedule, he acted as if this years schedule is going to be as tough as last years. he mentioned going to akransas, florida, and a&m, but you can't compare that to playing oregon in dallas, and bama/wvu on the road. imo arkansas won't be close to the team they were last year. if bp was still the coach, i could understand.

saying mett isn't mobile, is not even worth talking about. i had no idea both manning brothers, drew brees, sam bradford, ben rothlesberger, ect ran a sub 4.6. mett is very comparable to those guy's in terms of mobility. he may not be fast, but he can move around. just look at the 50+ yrd pass in the the spring game.

they said our front four and secondary are going to be scary good, i have to agree with that. guy's like mingo, johnson, downs, and edwards have experience. then add logan and big sam, and this defensive line might be the best in the country.

They have to hype Southern Cal, its and ABC requirement to keep their jobs. Greg James admitted last year that they had been incouraged to hype SC while Pete C was there.

Its not very hard to say USC would have performed better (at least offensively) when we scored 0 points.

Teams that performed better against Alabama than our stinker:

Kent State (7)
Penn State (11)
Arkansas (14)
Florida(10)
Ole Miss (7)
Tennessee (6)
Miss State (7)
Georgia Southern (21)
Auburn (14)

We all know how pathetic Florida's offense was. They even managed to score more points against Bama than we did in 2 games.

Just when I thought short-sighted fans couldn't get any dumber, you post this fricking gem.

Yeah, let's go back to every game during the regular season and assume that the outcome of those games would be completely the same as a seven week preparation for Alabama where they only had one game to focus on, one game to motivate for from their only loss, one game to redeem themselves.

Yeah, let's dismiss all of that, act as if every other team that LSU beatdown would be a better competitor in that game, and continue to bury our head in the sand like an idiot.

Well shite, I guess Georgia Southern should be considered co-national champs.

I mean, they scored 21 points in a meaningless game.

I guess WVU and Oregon were better than bama too since they scored more against us than bama did. In fact Oregon scored more in one game than bama did in two. And one of those games for bama was at home.

Why the hell did LSU and bama even play for the title, there were obviously better teams that should have been there.

At least he can dunk. You sound like the trailer trash thinking 40 yr olds are at a College Rec center. Familiar with that, aren't ya?
What an a-hole.
