Pollack and Robert Smith are two that may legitimately have gripes against LSU. The rest are fairly objective.

ESPN College Football Live LSU Discussion
What is so interesting is that if LSU does in fact have the dream season this year, Les still looks like a moron for not playing Mett last year.
I think most of us would accept that scenario.....

Do you tards realize how much had to go Bama's way after the 11/5 game?
Yes, this tard does.

OSU and Stanford had to lose at a minimum
Really, only one team had to lose, and OSU did.
quote:
Who knows if OU wins out and beats OSU the last game if they don't get more votes, or Oregon.
If OU's only loss was to Baylor, and OU wins the Big 12 over OSU, yes, OU makes it...
But didn't they have two loses by 11/5? I don't remember.

We got the breaks in 2007, Bama got them last year.
Two completely different scenarios, one of which involved one team having to win a conference and the other having the luxury of sitting at home while other teams won their conference. Not to mention sitting at home while their head coach got a rim job on the most popular CFB Pregame Program. With all due respect (bc I like you as a poster) those are not similar situations at all.

It sucked for us to have to play them again, but its over
My contention as a fan of CFB, not just LSU, is that it sucked more for CFB.

a Big 2012 should erase the pain.
It won't for some.

Did Ohio State have 13 wins in 07, one of which against LSU?

Mett. may have given LSU a better chance vs Alabama. Les never gave this a chance to happen. No one is saying Mettenberger would have definitely won the game.
I've highlighted the key word. We don't know, and because Jefferson was so bad, we assume it would have been better, but that doesn't mean he would have been good or good enough to win. Score may have been closer, that's about it.

Mett. should have been playing for weeks in preparation for the NCG
That's just silly 20/20 hindsight. If he had been better than either QB all summer he would have been playing.
quote:
Outside the Arkansas game, JJ offered nothing.
The first Bama game we do not win with out him and Lee didn't offer anything different in the other games. For 12 games QB was not an issue, for 1/2 of the 13th it was a disaster but didn't matter.
quote:
There is legitimate reason for criticism and I think Mettenberger will make everyone question why he wasn't playing last season in preparation for the NCG
Its nothing but Monday morning QBing. ZM didn't play so its the great unknown. You get to make up what ever result you want and we can't prove it either way. Anyone that thinks play in 2012 would have been the same in 2011 is just deluding themselves. Maybe he wasn't ready, he was after all just a soph with ZERO previous expirience.

Miles was going JJ all the way and everyone knew it.
and maybe he was the best option in 2011, you don't know otherwise. You didn't see these kids in practice or talk to them everyday.

I love the part where they are joking about R. Shep, saying he's had one good play so far, a reverse. And then "congratulate" him on it. Pieces of shite. They expect our receivers to throw it to themselves the last three years?

Every coach in a cfb picks experience over hype. Every one. Even Saban has done it. It's not like the games we were playing we're close games. We curb stomped everyone

As opposed to LSU? If he said this, he has lost his frickin' mind. No team deserved to play that game more than LSU.
Did he really say that USC should've gone over a 13-0, top-ranked, SEC champion?

That's exactly what Miles did. He turned a smooth-running offense into a broken one when he gave JJ back the starting QB job.

bullshite. I swear some of you have remade the season in your mind. When JJ started the last 4 games where the games LSU had the most offensive yards, but continue to believ otherwise
Posted on 5/24/12 at 4:17 pm to Rickdaddy4188
He had 25 yards against UGA and how many against Bama? Oh you were talking about the regular season. Gotcha.

You and your stupid thoughts. You're dumb and don't know football if you think JJ offered nothing. The only time Bama defense had allowed yards was by the option. Marinate on that for a second.

Did it really matter who we played at QB Jan 9th? I seem to remember our fantastic O-Line NOT BLOCKING A SOUL.

Anyone who says 2011 Bama and 2007 LSU has any similarities( outside of needing help) is dumb. The two teams's situations couldn't be any diff.

Couldn't get past the 50 yard line. Marinate on that.
