anytime you would like to make an intellectual argument, I'll come back.
just so I got this straight, as I've not seen the report and things tend to change on here pretty rapidly:
the account of events in the police report is based mainly on the victims' accounts and that of a 3rd arty witness who may actually be an acquaintance of 1 (or more) of said victims? (fyi, I'm getting her potential bias from a post or 2 I saw on here)

the police report released has the kid (NOT LOWERY) saying "he had a gun in his car" AFTER he had been beat up and was leaving the scene.
we know that was on the police report.
ah, but the police report is second hand info./hearsay not really evidence, is it?

and ended up yelling a racial slur at a bunch of black LSU players. Then they got into an altercation with the players, and got their asses whipped.

she lied in hers, sorry
she claimed Lowery was the defender we know that to be false now.

But random speculation is a better option?
its better than trusting the police report as gospel that was taken from two people with a vested interest in lying and spinning a story a certain way.

I would guess that due to the superior conditioning, it made it unfair, therefore turned them into victims.

You bet your sweet arse it can be used as impeachment evidence.

Not according to the statements given by the LSU players.

There is absolutely no reason to put any faith in that report other then it shows the incompetence of the BRPD
You know, a "report" is just that -- a REPORT. It REPORTS what other people have told the police. It is a record of statements that were made. It is NOT an analysis of who did what to whom. It is simply to memorialize what is known at the time and from where the knowledge came so that it can be used later to refresh memories.
And that REPORT I'm sure will be supplemented many times over the following weeks.
Would you give these poor officers a break and let them try to do their jobs??????
They dicked around in the reggies parking lot for over an hour and didnt take any statements other than lowery and his friend. There was a crapload of people at the bar that night. Yet they didnt take any statements beside the "victim". They didnt talk to the bar workers? How do you not do that?
BRPD needs some heat on them. They need to do better. Theres a reason why crime is so bad right now because of crap like this-piss poor effort. It was laziness.

I'm talking about the veracity of the entirety of the initial report.

I keep seeing this shite... If you think Jefferson is somewhat guilty, then you're not an LSU fan?
Believe it or not, LSU and the LSU football program is bigger than Mr. Jefferson, and IMO a true fan should be pissed off him and his buddies are responsible for the HUGE black eye this program now has...
The point is until all the facts come out you can't say that these players have been a black eye. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty. And that does not include the court of public opinion.
I call out Captain Bengal, because he has been negative about the players involved from the beginning and has advocated their arrest in every post he's made. He then in turn attacks any view point that supports the players. A true LSU fan would support all LSU players (I'm not saying uphold them in wrongdoing.) But, as I said above we don't have a clear picture of what happened.

that's so wrong it's pathetic.
Not wrong. Not pathetic. A police report is second hand information, it would be hearsay if it was offered in court to prove the truth of an assertion made in the document, and it's not evidence unless and until a judge lets it in for some reason.

First off, it can be used as impeachment evidence.
Second, you simply put the investigating officer on the stand and ask him about the quotes from Lowery contained within the report. These fall within numerous exceptions to the hearsay rule.

Do you really want to get into this? We can if you want. I can hold my own pretty well on the topic. I doubt many people on this board care about this, but I can certainly go there. I'm just getting tired of the mischaracterizations of what a police report is and the criticisms of the police department because of information in their report. Not to mention people who get into "oh yeah?" arguments with other posters about whether it's evidence when they don't know what they're talking about.
