Thank God there's at least one person speaking some logic about this thing. Seriously. For crying out loud - the "victims" wanted to fight, took an arse whipping and that should be the end of it. This thing is so out of control it's ridiculous. They are only victims because they got their arse whipped.

Agreed....if the alleged "victims" waited outside to confront anyone then that to me is inviting the trouble. Certainly a whole different light than the way things have been presented the last week.

Here's what I found interesting, the part of the police report that said one of the "victims" didn't want to get medical attention but his father made him. Sounds like Dad saw an opportunity for some $$$.

It was a three-part question, don't just answer the one that you think helps your argument.

Who was this player? Wing?

Captain America apparently thought Wing was laying the Australian wood to his ex.
Wing may be the big winner here.
He gets to nail Lowery's ex and talk shite to him when its over.

Since the cops got away with beating Rodney King, due to his "threatening" movements while he was on the ground, I'm sure the LSU player in the video can get off.

The guy's leg does twitch right before he gets those two kicks to the back.

And FWIW, I think it's funny that the bouncer confirms that the truck wasn't trying to leave (as Lowery stated)....Rather, it aggressively drove right into the midst of the fight.

If these two people clearly saw JJ not in the fight at all, why did they specifically mention they couldn't say if or if not JJ was involved?

Again, the two people are Lowery and the girl he was with. Question is do you believe them or the bar manager?

From that video, can you determine this is the case?

I was gonna ask this, and imo no you really can't.

How is he worthless because he didn't see the entire thing? If two guys get in a car crash, and you pull up to the scene in time to see one guy punch the other in the nose.. well, are you worthless to the case? Hardly.

I still don't consider the guy on the ground defenseless. I've seen to many people get knocked down, stand up, and beat the frick out of guy who hit them.

The DA has enough for charges right now, but is looking to make sure they have all of the evidence necessary for conviction. DA's are evaluated based on prosecution rate and they are trying to fit the charge to the evidence. Could be the difference between first and second degree battery.

i think the brpd is trying way to hard to look competent. They have a mountain of shite to overcome with drunk witnesses at a bar.

They damn sure are not close to a conviction, which to my meger understanding means that you would like to have enough evidence to get a conviction to prosecute no?

no way they could get a conviction with jurors from baton rouge no less
