I agree but I think even if we lose, we should be mentioned up there.

'71 vs. '11: THE DEBATE!

Posted by LJGFORMVP on 12/23/11 at 9:50 pm
So as I was looking up the 2011 LSU as one of the Greatest teams in CFB history, all I got was that they aren't even close to being on that list, let alone be mentioned with the '71 Nebraska team. I can make a arguement. Nebraska had averaged 39 ppg, we're averaging 38. They're "Game of the century" was won by 4 points (vs. Homa, 34-31) whereas ours was by 3 points. I can name more but I don't feel like mentioning them but what do you think? Do you think we can mention them with the likes of '71 Nebraska, '01 Miami, '05 Texas, '72 USC, ect.?

Skip Balis quote just amazes me.

It's quoted by Skip Balis, "Its a joke LSU is #1. If their still #1 after Saturday (referring to the Bama game) its a joke.". I got it off a video. I've never been a BIG fan of Skip but I think Les should play that quote to the players leading up the Championship. What do you think about this?

What was the name of that video?

Was it "The 2011 LSU Tigers: The Greatest"?
Are all of you kidding me?! You didn't mention the beat player to come out of LSU. 100%, undeniable, absolutely.......Rohn Davie.

still not a good enough reason to want to see him go to jail at the risk of the whole team losing morale,

yea, because this is what im rooting for

give me a fricking break
theres no agenda, i dont hate the guy

but he is a really bad QB that somehow gets PT despite not deserving it
quote:

Seriously, I will never forget this kid's name.

jesus, get a life, loser
quote:

he is trying to wreck a BCS caliber season

les will do that anyway by running jefferson out there every week
the person you have on video kicking him

clearly the kick would inflict much more damage than any punch
well, ok. but replace concussion with unconscious in my post

same deal and that can still be enough to charge

my bad. Still loss of consciousness is subjective and refutable. Not saying it didn't happen of course, but it is far from fact.

i'd just about guarantee there is a neurological test that can detect head trauma and whether someone shows signs of recently losing consciousness

Dude--all of Lowery's witnesses were his friends and likely "rockstar drunk"

i dont care

all im saying is people are celebrating this like the case is officially closed, and thats retarded.

you have 2 witnesses who saw bits and pieces of the fight, and since jefferson was standing around in the seconds/minutes/whatever they saw, he's innocent? and they say they didnt start the fight?

who cares, this is nothing. if you felt jefferson would be cleared as of yesterday, you should feel the same. if you felt he would be arrested, you should feel the same

at the end of the day, all that matters is who did the kicking and who caused the broken bones, thats it. and this "news" does nothing to help explain either event.
well, it's not unlikely that 1. the guy is covering for jefferson and 2. was drinking

thats all
quote:

A sober, impartial,

you sure about this?
quote:

How is he worthless because he didn't see the entire thing?

pretty much

im sure a bunch of people saw bits and pieces of it and their quotes arent being considered stone cold facts
and someone tell me why the bouncer's word is somehow considered gospel

odds are he is an lsu fan/student and drinking also

this is just another witness, and im sure there will be another account tomorrow that conflicts it, thats how this clusterfrick of a situation has been
quote:

Very relevant ...It turns the thug players beat an Angelic hero Marine to a pulp, to: Jackass sorry excuse for a marine and his buddies lay in wait for LSU players to fight and maybe injure them. You people are starting to get so stupid here that I'm about to change my opinion on someone getting kicked in the head. You try to ambush people you take your fricking medicine like a man. Premeditation is a bitch when it goes south.

all this shite goes out the window once a person laying on the ground gets kicked in the head

dudes on the ground, fights over, you win, walk away
quote:

If he was instigating a fight, I don't give a shite about broken bones. Refer to a previous post in this thread. Bottom line: frick 'em.

yea well, youre not the fricking police or district attorney...ya know, the people who actually make the decisions.

your rambo, he-man attitude is cute and all, but the legal system doesnt usually work that way
