It's quite clear that Reid and others can do as they see fit with respect to the anthem. As long as your play is good enough to warrant the distraction, you'll still have a job.

CNN. Really? The problem here is most people sit around watch too much damn TV. I don't own a Te-lie-vision. People believe whatever is being fed to them & don't ask questions. Nobody uses they own brain anymore, majority of the population is walking robots. So miss me with that BS!

I'm proud of everyone, at least the discussion is out there. Brave. Brave. Shake that comfort. Time to be uneasy.

These protests are only increasing divisiveness. Good job Eric.

Yes but they’re starting a conversation! Sure, it’s a conversation about a phantom cause while ignoring real and obvious issues, but nonetheless. Just Bc they’re protesting over a cause that doesn’t exist doesn’t mean they don’t also do so many great things for issues like drug abuse and fatherless households.

You voted for Obama?

Nope. I didn't vote for Trump either. Or Hillary. I voted for Evan McMullin.

I'm old enough to have voted during the governor's race between Edwin Edwards and Duke. I couldn't in good conscience vote for either a criminal or a racist so I voted for another republican on the ticket.

Eric Reid takes a knee....on Veterans Day weekend by slackster quote: Black males for the most part are drama queens and constantly crave attention. They constantly must have the spotlight on them. The black athlete is worst of all. That is what the pounding there chest after big play and celebrating a tackle they made 30 yards down the field while losing by 3 touchdowns. It is all about personal attention and their personal accomplishments rather than team accomplishments. LSU's roster being 2/3rds black must make your blood boil.

It baffles me that our protest is still being misconstrued as disrespectful to the country, flag and military personnel. We chose it because it’s exactly the opposite

That's such bullshite.

You can't decide unilaterally what's respectful and/or disrespectful. The consensus is VERY clear.

He knows. They chose it to be disrespectful...but aren't man enough to stand up and admit it. Classic, passive aggressive liberal bullshite.

Would replacing "home of the brave" with "home of the Tigers" be disrespectful?

I'll patiently await a response.

He is taking the easy route. The hard route would be tellimg the truth and admitting that cops killing blacks is just a pimple on the arse of blacks slaughtering each other on a daily basis. The hard route would be getting labeled an Uncle Tom by his peers for using common sense and protesting the real problem.

Yes, they can demonstrate how they want, and everyone can react how they want. He wants to protest by shitting on the flag, the country and everyone who fought for them, that is his right. And he will be viewed accordingly.

And don't say that is not what he is doing. It is, period. You don't get to do one thing and call it another. He doesn't get to redefine those actions.

The answer is in my post, and it's extremely obvious.

The consensus would determine that. I can pretty much guarantee you that if it was viewed as disrespectful to the anthem/flag/veterans/country that fans wouldn't be doing it.

So you think one of the purposes of kneeling is directed at the military with the intention of disrespecting the military?

I will say I am surprised Reid is still doing it, but once again I will also say like I have many times before that Kaepernick's protesting was never about disrespecting military servicemen and women, veterans, and the US flag like so many of y'all keep making this shite out to be. Kaepernick started this protest or kneeling to bring attention to the injustice on african-americans by police officers across the country.

Instead this shite has changed to something entirely different by ignorant people to his cause that have taken it in an entirely different direction.
