It's called personal responsibility boys and it's time to pay-up. Hope neither one of them ever play another down.

this is partially correct. Yes, Reid has a right to free speech under the First Amendment, but that only applies to the GOVERNMENT (i.e., the government can't punish you for speech).

Private employers can prohibit speech all day long.

If anything the NFL colluded with Reid to allow players to protest, which was against NFL rules...This is so lol.....

Our opinions on the situation likely differ, but I can definitely respect you for being real enough to call it what it is.

well, that's ignorant. What he's done in the NFL doesn't mean he's not an LSU Tiger.

I dont have an opinion on the matter 1 way or the other, i think both sides, once again, are stupid.

I will call a spade a spade though, and bringing politics into work is never a smart idea, and then to actually complain about them using that against you? Well no shite they would, any workplace would if you're hurting their business...and to complain even further after a team offered you a 1-year deal by filing a collusion case now, come the f-on

The NFL has much deeper pockets and much better attorneys than Reid. This won't end well for him.

Reid needs to simply understand he has no right to express his 1st amendment rights at his place of employment.....

When he is under a bridge pushing a grocery cart he will eventually see the Light.

Lol. What a phony. Caught up in a soap opera where he completely imagines OPPRESSION that doesn't exist and casting himself as some kind of HERO. What a moral idiot.

Eric Reid's entire life is about RESENTMENT and INGRATITUDE. while living in the greatest country in the history of the world, and succeeding materially in the upper .001 percent of people in HUMAN HISTORY, he has nonetheless found a way to imagine that others are responsible for his failures.

Grow the frick up Eric. Nobody owes you anything. Progressive Racial Grievance and Racial Identity Politics is a lie and you are a fukking phony. You have embarrassed yourself, your children, your family, your name and your University. Not to mention, hurt the careers of all those who follow you, as you bite the hand that feeds you and shite all over those who made it all possible for you.

It is phony to the core. Phony “ oppression “ and phony “ heroics”. What an absolute moral idiot. That a person could be so blessed and have so little gratitude is an affront to everybody who struggles with REAL oppression around the world . I guarantee you, wherever he is, anywhere around the country , he is never more than a few miles away from somebody who has faced REAL oppression at the hands of The State and headed to this great country at the first possible moment . That phony Leftist dilettante can come with me to any Hmong , Vietnamese, Laotian etc community and learn what oppression means . Hint- it doesn’t mean a Trump voter lives in your gated community or the guy who parked your Bentley smirked at you.

Their is a sign outside Soldier Field at the entrance - "DEDICATED TO THE DEFENDERS OF OUR LIBERTY"
And you had two players kneeling inside that football stadium.

Oh I see. He wants to take a political stand without any of the aggravating pesky consequences.

Enjoy your life outside of football Eric.

And as others have said, it probably has as much to do with health issues as politics but the politics made it easy to avoid a risky health issue even from a team struggling on defense.

Also would be interesting to see if he rejected any offers or received none. Maybe someone on here would know. I assume he didn't get any because even 1 single offer would destroy his case.

Impossible to prove. Especially since it isn't.

Reid’s free-agency experience consisted of a visit to the Bengals. As PFT reported at the time, owner Mike Brown sought a commitment from Reid that he wouldn’t protest during the anthem, but Reid declined to provide one. Reid thereafter did not receive an offer.

It seems like you might have some extra baggage about this...

Like has already been said, collusion will be almost impossible to prove absent a "hey, everyone don't sign Eric Reid" email.

I didn't agree with the anthem kneeling protests. I thought it was a really odd way to shine the light on the issue of how police treat black people. But honestly I would have been fine if it hadn't affected either Kap or Eric's careers. I think it's just as much of a shame that something silly like this can cost people their jobs.

But the NFL is a PR business. Public Opinion matters, and people have really strong feelings about politics.

Eric Reid was a good Tiger. It's a shame.

P.S. All of the homeowners in my gated community are Trump voters
