I can dig it.

But after all the spread talk, if we line up in 2 TE I form in the redzone, I think tigerdroppings might crash.

No doubt. But it has its place right? It's still Ensminger's offense and he's an old school guy. We're no doubt going to retain some of those ground and pound ideas and we'll be in iform at some point. I'd just like to be multiple off that formation.

I feel like our o-line struggles played a part as well. They were probably afraid of giving up a bad sack or were worried that we wouldn't get enough push on a QB sneak or short run, so they took the guaranteed 3 pts.

I agree we need to be more aggressive, but with that comes more red zone turnovers. Y’all ok with some end zone picks from Joe?

I'd throw that ball to Devonta in the RZ. He'll go through a brick wall to get at the ball. Then he clamps down on it like a Pit Bull.

MAN! I hate watching a WR nonchalant a football!!! Way, way too much of that garbage last year!

I remember in Florida game it was 4th and inch and we decided to kick a field goal in our redzone and also ND in the bowl game year prior.

Yep, did the same thing on a 4th and short when we around the bama 40 last year.

Contrast those calls with what we did every 4th and short against UGA.

I’m not sure what’s laughable about that. More risk, more reward.

I honestly think it’s more about execution than aggressiveness. As the field compresses for the defense, minor execution flaws on offense become magnified. Things that gain 2 yards on your own 20 despite a poorly executed or missed assignment turn into no gain or a loss in the red zone.

Better execution turns into better outcomes and give you more confidence to be more aggressive. I want to believe we’ll see that this year.

Agree

But Burrow has to be more accurate in the RZ too. It was his weakness.

We relied too much on the kicker because he was automatic. We don’t have him anymore so we better be aggressive.

we should be aggressive even with an automatic kicker. FGs aren't going to cut it against the better teams on our schedule. We need TDs.

There’s no question that played a part. Orgeron, like most head coaches, becomes more conservative and risk averse the more the field shrinks. OCs want to rack up yards and points, HCs want to win games. And sometimes those 2 conflict. It’s a delicate balance, but O’s overall conservatism down there has certainly opened himself up to fair criticism.

I do think that the way O got the job and the relatively low support of him as a new LSU HC probably added significantly to his conservatism. Feeling like he was always either on, or one bad decision from being on, the hot seat, he coached tight. Hopefully tighter than he really wanted. You could see it in the Notre Dame game just how much he felt he needed that 10th win and it cost him. That said, I think last season’s success has probably given him a longer leash, and he should feel more comfortable about being more aggressive and letting things loose. We’ll see.

I'm okay with more turnovers if it means scoring of touchdowns.

I like a team that is confident enough to go for TDs and if needed.. can overcome it.. especially with such a great defense.

I'm sick of playing scared and timid.

Enough is enough.

I remember watching Deshaun Watson.. and he'd throw a couple of picks early in a game, but it didn't even matter cuz he'd still put up like 5 tds in a game. I would rather 5 TDs and 2 turnovers.. than say 1 or 2 total tds a game and no turnovers.. but that's just me I guess.

3 of the 4 teams in last year's playoffs had like top 5 scoring offenses I believe..

It's not just you.

Many LSU fans' brains have been warped by years of timid offensive ineptitude. It will take still more years of therapy through competent offensive performances to reverse it.
