This will be fun to watch from the other side of the Atlantic. I can just see how this will be selectively enforced based on the past few years in the UK.

From today, police, councils, social landlords and transport networks can apply to a court for a Respect Order, which can also include drug or alcohol rehabilitation, curfews or unpaid community work
They will be logged on the Police National Computer so officers can identify breaches and make arrests
As breaching an Order will be a criminal offence, the Government says they will only apply to adults to avoid giving children criminal records unnecessarily.

And the “Beast” rises out of the sea”. Absolute CONTROL is coming; based on “Police Computer Networks” and “lest ye take the number of the Beast neither will ye be able to buy or sell”. The ‘Rulers” are going to hammer free thinkers into submission. THE very definition of Fascism.
More Religious Right muh “conspiracy theories”? I reckon this post would be in the “alarm or distress to others “ category. Especially if I publicly state my belief that Jesus Christ is the “only begotten Son of God” and one third of the Universal Spiritual Energy Reservoir (I.e., God).
And with another Thread with the American Teacher’s Union calling for an end to the ONLY form of government ever which allowed people to be free.
It’s coming. Live and learn.

They will shortly need “camps” to contain all of those people needing to learn “respect”. The good citizens can’t even oppose the new regulations for fear of being arrested. They have truly lost to their overlords. Of course, the immigrants will be the exception.

There are only two options for creating a unified, prosperous and functional society in a population wherein there is the ‘luxury ‘ of Freedom of thought. Thought which embraces polar ideological political, religious and moral beliefs.
The first would be a highly public and all-embracing dialogue which educates the populace and persuades them of the basic truths that are at issue. Therein, unifying the citizenry. No easy task as individuals’ beliefs are Subjective and in the eye of the beholder. And simple people are easily confused and corrupted. And intelligent ones as well.
Outside of that, Control for the sake of functionality is the remaining option. We are in a struggle to determine which side (ideological and religious) holds the formal reins of Government-controlling power. It is ludicrous to believe that voting can determine which Side holds this all-powerful position when polar, moral beliefs are at issue.
It will be very interesting to see how America deals with this definitive conundrum.
