I haven't found any publication anywhere that says Brandon Sampson has entered his name into the NBA draft, which he would have to do before going pro. Anyone saying Sampson is gone need to lay off that crap until there is an announcement from either LSU, Sampson, or the NBA. He his still wanted on this team, and everyone needs to quit the good riddance bull. Even if he does go workout for the draft, he can come back if he doesn't sign with an agent. It's a pretty common practice and good feedback from the league on what aspects of his game he needs to work on and how he stacks up with other players. Here's a current list of early entrants.

On one play one of the players was standing in the middle of the court and Williams grabbed him and pulled him to the side so Reddish could take Little one on one.
Funny you say this. The guy who Williams grabbed and pulled off to the side was none other than.... Take a guess!.....

JAVONTE SMART

I thought that was hilarious. And the play ended with Williams dunking it as well.

Sampson would NOT get drafted.

Agreed. But if he goes, it's either to another school or to another sport.

I'm just tired of all these fake arse Sampson threads that say "he gone". We can't even celebrate Emmitt Williams without someone bringing it up.

I agree with you completely, which is why I asked the other poster if he had any proof outside of rumor.

I want Sampson to stay at LSU. I think that with a renewed focus, and being healthy, this coaching staff can turn him into a very good player.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone hitting 22/23 shots at any level.

Bill Walton went 21 out of 22 in the NCAA championship game for UCLA.

The starting lineup could realistically feature 4 true freshmen and waters running the show and I'd still expect them to destroy every team that gets in the way. The true scoring ability of a starting lineup that has Waters, Smart, Reid, and Emmit Williams is something that by the seasons end wind up being a historic numbers collection at least in LSUs record books. I'm also of the belief that Emmit will at least play a lot of if not be primarily a small forward for this team. Naz Reid and Bigby-Williams will be the big minute guys down low, Reid because well you know why, but for Bigby-Williams it's his rim protecting presence that we lacked this year. Also his senior leadership and experience is something that can get the slew of true freshmen that will be among the major factors for this team and along with waters be a stability thing for the team in moments of wild play. Darius Days is more than capable of being a starter if he comes in and just impresses Wade early and you could see him as easily as anyone else become a major contributer for this team. I believe there are only 3 truly guaranteed spots in the starting 5 and that's waters, smart, and Naz with the other two up for grabs for anyone able to make it in. But when the dust settles I think two very real truths will be revieled, and that is that Emmit Williams is too good to not be a starter by midseason or so if not from day one and also that this team will end up featuring possibly the most feared and talented front court of the entire NCAA with Naz, Emmit, Bigby-Williams, Days being the primary factors on the block. We're starting down the barrel of what could be the most talented team ever assembled at LSU and I'm not exaggerating....I believe a final four barring injury to big names is something more than realistic. A sweet 16 berth is what I think will he the lowest of floors for this roster when it's all put together. Anything less is in my opinion going to be a disappointing overall year. Naz will be gone after one and his talent along with the others who are also possible one and Dones...so it's about as crucial a season as could be if we're to continue to get this sort of talent to show up at LSU. Can't have another Ben Simmons wasted year that ends up being a program killer like it was...

It hasn’t become a cliche, but I think next year it will be true for us. It won’t really matter who starts because we will be so deep that we have lots of guys splitting the minutes. Coming off the bench won’t necessarily mean you aren’t getting heblions share of the minutes at your position.

No one said anything about the team with the most wins. Strictly talent based.

That CJ and Shaq squad was insanely talented. I can't rank this group ahead of a team with the best center to ever play the game along with arguably the best shooter the college game has ever seen.
