Curry has a similar skillset to CEH if you had to pick one.

Did you even watch LSU football this year? CEH is all about athleticism and making people miss. He likes open space and wide open running lanes. Curry is a downhill runner. He can split a narrow gap and pound LBers with a low shoulder. Two entirely different backs.

He is either RB1 next year or he is transferring. It’s just the sad truth nowadays with players who were stars coming out of high school.

Not if he doesn’t learn the playbook

If he hasn’t grasp the playbook yet. He will never get it. Running back is the easiest position to transition into from high school. The playbook narrative surrounding Emery sounds pretty ridiculous to me.

I’m glad some of you are fans and have nothing to do with the actual game. Clyde is a jump cutter, slip out the backfield to make a catch, pick up a blitz running back. Emery is a take the hand off, make a cut and try to hit the homerun. He’s not that good (yet) picking up blitz’s and catching the football. He is nothing like Clyde.

What’s really disappointing is that y’all are slamming him for saying they have similar skill sets, and then use running style to point out the difference in skill sets.

Y’all do understand that the coaching staff didn’t pick CEH, and won’t pick the next back, based on how he runs the ball, but rather on his skill set, right? And that being, how he blocks, how he runs routes, how he catches the ball, AND how effective he is as a runner, right? RIGHT?

Remember when people wanted him to start ahead of CEH? LOL

Some didn't give up on that one until about halfway through the season.

I think Emery has the biggest upside if he can get the “non-running” stuff figured out. He’s a beast running the ball...strong and fast with vision and moves.

None of our RB's have CEH's skill set. CEH was a combination of Emmit Smith and Dalton Hilliard. No RB in the SEC had CEH's skill set. We will miss the hell out of CEH next year.

His skill set is the closest to ceh. The other 2 are change of pace guys.

Of the guys we have, sure, but he's not really anything like CEH. He's a one cut and go guy. None of the backs we have coming back are like CEH. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. If they can pass protect and chip on passes to the flat, it won't matter much. We will miss Clyde's ability to make the first guy miss, though. Dude's agility was off the charts.

He’s a talent for sure but he better learn to pass protect or he’ll be the 3rd back his year.

I think he is talking about blocking and catching!
