I respectfully disagree.
And I respectfully disagree with your disagreement

I say system guy, because the ungodly numbers are what is driving him to the top of the draft right now. If he were playing the role of efficient game manager on a 7-1 team right now, he wouldn't be in the Heisman race. Teams would still have interest because of his accuracy and knack for clutch plays, and his pro career would likely be unchanged (heck, maybe go to a better team?).

But, the system has forced him to carry the team, and he's doing so in exceptional manner.

Take Brennan as an example. He's not on anyone's radar, other than he has a good arm as far as we know. If he has a similar season next year, there will be lots of talk about him leaving early and how high he'd go. That absolutely wouldn't happen in a basic offense.

Well, you even qualified it with "just a system guy" - if that isn't an insult, it will do until an insult comes along.

Especially contrasted with your own statement, "whether he did the work" - I mean, I doubt you would say that to one of these alleged system guys to his face.

Because, you might get your arse kicked for saying something like that.

But - not insulting, of course not.

Are you crazy? Joe Brady is not an OC, a Play-caller,

So Ensminger is an OC in your view? The same one who scored 0 points in 8 quarters of football against the gumps?

OK...

As I am an get off my lawn fart, I have a lot of down time and watch a lot national sports programs, as well, I read 2 papers a day. And I have not heard or read anywhere about any interest, from anyone pro or college, in Brady. Outside one obvious troll attempt by a gump on the SECr, the only noise seems to be coming from LSU fans here. As well, our AD has proven to be proactive, not reactive, so I trust him to to what he has to do to keep Brady.

So you're just looking for a fight

Here's exactly what I said
quote:

They'll know if Burrow did the work, or if he's just a system guy

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that statement.

Burrow's production has basically doubled this season. A scout is going to look at that and seek clarification- is it just the system, or is it the QB too? The SYSTEM is giving him 35+ passes a game. BURROW is hitting close to 80% completion on that, and isn't missing low, forcing WRs to go down for catches, throwing behind them etc.

There are lots of 'system' guys racking up a ton of yardage, and that doesn't translate to the next level.

After what we just saw you really think Brady’s going to be promoted soon? Lol these things always blindside you guys while the rest of us don’t know how you can’t see it coming.

true, but there's a totally different dynamic with drafting and dealing with whatever is leftover. But money talks.

Believe he's the official OC next year, and stays with LSU as OC about 4-6 years, some guys like the time off college coaching gives them...then moves to NFL OC and to Head coach

Burrow is not a system guy. Although he clearly knows the RPO.. as do dozens of kids that play in RapO spread offenses. It is. Not that hard. Burrow has the unusual combination of presnap reads plus progression processing/decision making plus accuracy plus mental toughness that makes this work. Huge test at Bama

Yep there are many RPO types out there. It took Orgeron to have the courage to make the move. Brady Burrow and Ensminger made it happen. Took all three

Lmao. No one even knows the involvement in play calling that Brady has, yet he is now head coach worthy.

I’d bet he’s gonna stay with us a bit longer. I hope so.
