Like somebody is gonna take a DB from Miami of Ohio over a guy who was an all American.

Half a season here and a season at Bama where Saban deems him to not even good enough to be in the rotation will take a lot of shine off a freshman All-American year. There's clearly some work habit issues that will get exposed in predraft prep if he can only get in at the end of rent a win games.

I was at the UCLA game last year and remember walking around before the game and saw his huge entourage with Ricks shirts on and somebody holding up a Ricks sign.
At the time, I thought “how arrogant and self-serving is this shite”. And it is.
But thinking about it now it’s also very sad. How many of those people were hoping he’d do really well so they could ride his coattails and make money off of him? How much pressure did that put on him to cause him to spin out of control and make such poor decisions?
I definitely don’t think coming back would be good for the team if he has the same attitude. But he’s young and HOPEFULLY he will learn from all these things and turn his life around…Tyrann Matthieu did.

He's from out there so that's probably his family. I don't really think that is a problem.

I'm all in on the Ricks bashing, but he did grow up 10 miles from the Rose Bowl and it was likely the first time all of his friends growing up got a chance to see him play in college.

He's mental, he might go in round 5. His physical talent is round 1 material, but there's a reason he's not on the field.

Do not bet but if I did, last week giving the 3 points was one of the most certain bets I have ever seen.

He’s not coming back. He’d have to sit out a year. Not happening. But good riddance anyway.

I think he wishes he had stayed and gotten the motivation to align with the new staff. Instead, he's riding the pine, probably being treated like crap by Saban, and feeling like the biggest idiot for going to Bama.

If he had stayed, he'd be starting, and probably able to showcase his talent and going 1st/2nd day in the next NFL draft.

Now, he's stuck on the bench, behind several kids younger than him, and with no way to show the NFL scounts his skills, he'll be lucky to get drafted.

What bad decisions and thinking the grass is greener gets you...

Aren’t we recruiting his brother heavily?

That said he should go to USC or UCLA

The risk is he sits there again. Otherwise he probably goes late 2nd or early 3rd and has to prove it.

Plenty of rotation type dbs from Bama and LSU have made it in the NFL.
